AZTwin Verified Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 As incredible as it is, we're officially 1 month into the baseball season. We have played 27 or 16.7% of games this season and currently in 1st place in our division. I couldn't be happier. The young guys are really showing up. Sano is a beast. Rosario is on a 15 game hitting streak. Santana is on fire. Buxton is starting to show signs of life and Dozier hasn't even gone off yet on one of his patented streaks. We are going to contend. It may be this year it may not be but it will be soon. Hopefully we can get some pitching help soon. Anyway, it is much more fun following a winning team. Looking forward to the continued progress
Linus Verified Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 It's been great fun to watch a winning club but also really enjoyable to watch all the good young players. I'm sticking with my preseason prediction of 81 and 81.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 So far so good. Keep beating up on the bad teams, and hope to stay as close to .500 as possible against the good ones.

twins_89 Verified Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Starting the day in first is great, but it's looking like the Twins will be in 3rd or 4th place in the Central at the end of the day. With the Twins getting pounded and the Indians and Tigers playing bad teams (the Royals and As) the Twins could easily fall to 3rd in the division (or 4th if Indians, Tigers, and White Sox all win).

And I just don't know how I'm going to handle the boundless euphoria from one day followed by the debilitating blues the next day here on May 6th.

Poor KC.
