Jham Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Who suggested that polanco's arm is not that weak but that he loops throws because when he unloads he tends to spike his throws? That seems spot on. Also, big knock Grossman!
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 That's less than 100 last I checked.AGAIN with the math. Holy cow, people!
Comrade Bork Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Go go go Grossman, you know what they saay. Go go go Grossman you'll make it someday! Mauer went from 1st to home!
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Great to see them get a pair back. Most people probably don't like to see Mauer having to run hard around third because it might mean a play at the plate, but it's a huge relief to me because of the way that running hard with his head down makes him much less like an ostrich.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Ahhhh oops! I meant 2015!!! I'm delirious! Help!Edit: and I haven't even started drinking! I'm drinking, and apparently still ahead of you

diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 I'm drinking, and apparently still ahead of you and after checking game day, I need to drink more.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 So as I said on the Easter Sunday thread, I had my family over. My son in law and I were talking, and my granddaugher was listening in. "So how's your health, Chief" he asked. "Well, everything is going just great. I just had a checkup, and I was able to tell the doc that I'm truly blessed. Feeling great, and the Lord has seen fit to bless me recently. Every time I get up in the night to go to the bathroom, he lights up the room for me." "Grandma," yelled my granddaughter, "I think I figured out where the smell in the refrigerator is coming from!"
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 AGAIN with the math. Holy cow, people! Harry Caray narrated the audio book version if anyone wants to enjoy this in the car.
Comrade Bork Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 We're getting screwed over by the new rules. http://i.imgur.com/J8xeMgf.jpgI saw that too! 9 outs in the top of the first. Good thing they've only managed to push across 1 run despite scoring 4 guys!
Monkeypaws Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Saw this ad and it cracked me up. U of M night at Target field. Buck tooth and toothless....
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 See, mauer doesn't always walk with runners in scoring position.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 See, mauer doesn't always walk with runners in scoring position. But still can't drive in Dozier from 2nd.
Jham Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 We're getting screwed over by the new rules. http://i.imgur.com/J8xeMgf.jpgBut apparently their runs are only worth 1/3rd making up for the unlimited outs and ability to keep batting and pinch running the same guys over and over. I'm not sure about the rationale of the new rules... Seems to go against pace of play...

Seems to go against pace of play... This is how the NFL is run... so why not MLB?
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 the anticipation of "in play runs" gets pooped on by the word "sacrifice".
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 By the way, Vargas with a triple today in AAA... Derek Rodriguez pitched another good game for FTM. Hard to believe he's only 24... that kid might force his way on to the 40 next year if he keeps pitching well.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 By the way, Vargas with a triple today in AAA... That explains this story from the early online edition of the NYT: EARTHQUAKE SHAKES PARTS OF 5 NORTHEASTERN STATES

70charger Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 I would have loved to see a Vargas triple.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Anyone care to guess when the twins last finished with more HRs hit than they allowed?
Comrade Bork Verified Member Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Hughes' slop isn't getting him too far tonight.
