This talk reminds me...what did the Dalai Lama say when he walked into the pizza parlor?

...

"Can you make me one with everything?"

...

//too cheezy?//

Not saucy enough.

Chicago Deep Dish is more like cake with pepperoni frosting. I mean, seriously, what's the point? If I want cake, I'll buy a cake. Pizza crust is merely a way to convey meat, cheese and tomato sauce to the mouth. Anything more than that is detracting from what truly matters when it comes to pizza.

When I think of deep dish I think of Green Mill, where the crust isn't much thicker than normal but the toppings are much thicker than normal.

Sweeping. In olden times, people would sweep for hours and the floor would still be dirty. Then came the realization that they were trying to sweep dirt floors. Soon came wooden floors, carpets and, eventually, technology progressed to the point that mankind sent automated rovers to the planet Mars -where the dirt is called regolith. From this Mars rover technology sprung the Roomba - a fully autonomous sweeping device which, while convenient to the modern homemaker, is a nightmare to get into the ballpark and swing as a prop at baseball games.

The Windy City is a weird place. Just cruise by the art and it doesn’t take long to come to that conclusion.

Oh, good grief ... are you talking about Agora again? Those statues by my condo?

Is that what they call the statues of people that they never finished? Every time I'm there I keep checking to see if the tops have been put on but I guess I'll have to keep waiting.

actually, mainly, we've been mocking Chicago pizza with a side of Art. (however, we're not going to get sidetracked into the moral issues surrounding "Soylent Green.")

I am actually not a fan of Chicago-style pizza ... ick.

Can we talk about how stupid the White Sox's new stadium name is? It changed from U.S. Cellular Field to Guaranteed Rate Field for 2017.

I get Target Field is named after a sponsor too, but at least it sounds kinda cool.

I still wanted 3M to win the naming rights to call it Post-It Park. :)

Deep dish in Chicago is not like that. You're describing Domino's style deep dish crust, which is a thick bread.

The G spot jokes on Twitter have been great! glad they changed, just for the smiles.

The Twins Take No Prisoners Tour continues tonight, as Minnesota goes for its sixth straight win against AL Central opponents. (Recall that we defeated these same Chisox the final two games last season.)

Sorry to talk baseball. I deserve shunning.

No, you're fine. Pretty much anything is allowed on game threads.

I have to admit, it is a novel idea, what with bringing baseball into a pizza and art thread. But, whatever works.

That's a fairly accurate representation of the walking traffic in downtown Chicago during rush hour.

And that's one of the things it truly represents, according to the artist.

I love it that we are talking baseball in game threads, actually. For one, I like to talk baseball. Two, and most importantly, it means the Twins are giving us some good baseball to talk about for a change! :)

As Mike mentioned last night, it's kind of the trade off ... but I'll take that trade off if it means winning baseball! The minute we start losing, IF we start losing, I'll be happy to go back to as many off-topic topics people can manage to throw out there.

My bolded is the problem......in a mall????   :banghead:       ;)

I forgot to use the "tongue in cheek" icon there.  But I do confess to having tried Sbarro a couple of times out of desperation.  Turns out being desperate isn't enough to make it taste like pizza.

Nah, you're okay. We'll help you build a barn, instead.
