ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 On a more serious note. I did not know that Wonder Woman bats left handed.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 So, let's suppose the Twins DFA both Milone and Albers. Who'd be your choice to bring up? I think I'd go with Wheeler and Dean.

jud6312 Verified Member Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 There's no way they keep him on the roster after this, is there? This is pathetic.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 Whatever happened to Sam Deduno? He was better than these guys.He was actually released from his minor league deal with the O's yesterday.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 On a more serious note. I did not know that Wonder Woman bats left handed. She's actually a righty. She just bats left handed against Albers to sorta make it fairer.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 I can't believe they are going to keep him on the roster. If they do, I want no piece of Antony. None.
jud6312 Verified Member Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 He was actually released from his minor league deal with the O's yesterday. If his agent isn't on the phone with Antony right now, Sammy needs a new agent.

Rosterman Verified Member Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 Joe Nathan is available, right? Hopefully the Twins can book a couple of plane tickets. Looks like we could see Pat Light. Maybe time to give Ryan O'Rourke one more look. I'm sure Sean Burnett would like one last chance to see if he can do it. Of all the times for Logan Darnell to go down injured again!

Isn't Nathan on the Cubs? He was a couple weeks ago...
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 One thing these soft-tossing lefties remind me of is how good Greg Maddux was. Maddux threw no harder than Milone, yet he won game after game and posted ERA's in the 2's. It's not just velocity, it's precision and cleverness.
Rosterman Verified Member Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 And, so, it couldn't rain for like five hours right now, right?

Platoon Verified Member Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 Without trying to troll! I was thinking this afternoon, we are now in year 7 or so of ineptitude. And so far we have our stud CF in Rochester, our young ace getting hammered, and our third baseman possibly without a position except DH. While there is still plenty time, I pondered, what if they all don't make it? What then? Wouldn't that be some kind of cruel bizarre joke!
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 Um, this was a 4-game series and we won on Monday. But as Aggies pointed out, we will be swept in the DH, if we don't come back and win this. It ain't over ... yet.Well apparently I forgot Monday happened.

jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 We're going to have to work on our silver linings here... Great opportunities for AAA pitchers... um, and, uh... Good to see Escobar can pitch...

Maddux threw no harder than Milone, yet he won game after game and posted ERA's in the 2's. It's not just velocity, it's precision and cleverness. I saw Maddux quoted once where he said he throws about 85 of his pitches every game exactly where he wants to, that made it tough to hit!
