jud6312 Verified Member Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 I know BA is an outdated statistic that we hate because it doesn't tell the whole story and only focuses on a player's ability to successfully reach base by way of a hit, but can we now finally be concerned about Robbie Grossman? I know he's the OBP messiah and has been anointed nothing below the 4th OF for the next decade since the day he put on that beautiful red jersey, but another 0-fer has pushed his BA for June down to .220. I know Terry Ryan is always right - and we love him for it - but I can't help but feel maybe there's cause for concern here. Like, maybe all those teams that deemed him unworthy of their roster were possibly right? Is there a chance Robbie isn't as good as we were lead to believe? I mean, he was the #76 preseason prospect of 2012 in one publication ... does that mean nothing? But, seriously, at what age is it inappropriate for a grown man to be called Robbie? Or Bobby, Billy, Petey, etc. for that matter? LaBombo 1

CampQ Verified Member Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 (edited) So, apparently Suzuki has thrown out 6 runners this year, anyone remember any of those times?I was at the Nats game last night and saw the Nats go six for six in steals off d'Arnaud, he of the .206 BA. It's a good thing the collective id of TD doesn't run the front office Edited June 29, 2016 by CampQ
Platoon Verified Member Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 omg, Ole and Lena jokes. Twins Daily, you've hit a new low. Do better. I'm sure you can get lower..... My absolute best ole and Lena joke involves a mouse, ole, Lena, Sven, and shall we say, an uncompromising position. If I told in on here I would be put on Double Secret Probation. Even worse I'd get another terse 3 word PM from a mod, and I quote. "Knock it off" End quote. Blake, HitInAPinch and Craig Arko 3

Did they take the head off of a hammer? Hosken Bombo Disco 1
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Okay, that was odd. Dozier hit two home runs, one with men on base. A Twins starting pitcher pitched into the 7th without giving up any runs after the Twins scored. Heck, the Twins starter didn't allow any runs. The bullpen did the job. I was watching the Twins, right? The fun is back https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=299knTdX-Wo HitInAPinch 1
