Anytime a fan says it, it's a jinx. You just don't mention 'no hitter' during a possible no hitter. And it wasn't just a no hitter up until you said it, he had a perfect game going. But you said it and the next pitch was to Hicks, so it was your jinx. You did it, you blew it. These are part of the unwritten rules for fans. You don't say it while it's happening.

Wow! 5 HRs now today!! I bet the Twins hitters wish they could face Eovaldi more often. They beat him last week and Target Field and now they have a lead today and scored 5 runs off him...

Good lord, Twins are feasting on Eovaldi's curve ball. It must be a real nothing pitch. And his heater is looking somehow less impressive now. Only 96mph...!

I can't believe the back-to-back-to-back HRs!! I was in the kitchen heating up leftovers for lunch & I couldn't believe it! Tony Oliva called it. After Dozier's HR he said that Plouffe would copy. And then after Plouffe's HR he said Kepler would make it 3 in-a-row and he started reminiscing about times during his career that the Twins did that. And then it happened. I couldn't believe it!

I think it's pity because the Twins are so bad!

Just like when a stage actor/actress always calls a certain play 'The Scottish Play'. You don't call it by it's real name or all sorts of bad things happen :-)

I actually said it once. The stage crew of a theatre I was in was explaining to me not to say 'the play not be named' and I outright said, 'Macbeth? Why can't you say Macbeth?' The collective gasps were ... well, I know how jimbo feels. But in my case, unlike jimbo's, there is a counter to it which I did immediately and the curse was held off.

I've seen Duffey's curves look more dominant, but this is the best overall command I've ever seen from him. Almost every pitch is right where he wants it. Those three heaters on Gardner were superb. The Yankees look like they have no chance at all.
