Yeah, the announcers also said Milone failed to cover and you can't do that.  They aren't the smartest group, for sure, but I watched it a few times and I wouldn't have charged an error either.  And the official scorer also didn't give it an error.  Ball was  a rocket, surprised Mauer got glove on it. If a shortstop stops a ball that is rocketed t him, it rolls a wee bit, and and still has time to pick it up and throw a guy out and the 1B is picking his underwear out of his crack, that's not the shortstop's fault.

 

Edit: Official scorer changed the decision and charged an error.

So if I'm following today correctly: Arcia got traded for a used nutcup, the good Dozier is back, the Twins still can't get 60-year-old A-Rod out, Milone is still bad but only because he doesn't get the same calls Tanaka gets and Mauer is overpaid?

Malone works the corners (has to) and didn't seem to get the corners from the ump. Three errors hurt, especially Esco's.
