twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Duffy is a fringe major leaguer to begin with, he keeps hanging curves and he's in my beer league.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Well that escalated quicklyI have a pitching tip for Mr. Duffey. Try not to throw nothing pitches down the heart of the plate.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 That was really clobbered. YikesYou can not hope to stop Peter Bourjos, you can only hope to contain him.

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 He saw how much Phil Hughes was getting paid to throw meatballs and wanted to get in on that.Well to be fair, meatballs are delicious.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Sweeping curveballs landing in the left batters box seem to give us lots of issues
S. Verified Member Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Well to be fair, meatballs are delicious.Throw in some pasta and we'll give you Phil Hughes.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Umm, is Duffey close to a demotion? A bit luckless on the squib hit, but Bourjas hit it a mile.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Umm, is Duffey close to a demotion? A bit luckless on the squib hit, but Bourjas hit it a mile.Ummm....yes?
David HK Verified Member Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 I say send Bux every single time he gets on, every single pitch. He'll get cut down some, but he'll learn the art of the steal. And if anyone bunts when he's on 1st, ever, send him to the middle of the Game of Thrones Battle of the Bastards, immediately.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 22, 2016 Author Posted June 22, 2016 1. Cleaning out closets. As reported in other threads, I've been doing some work around my condo ... new flooring in the kitchen and entry-way ... closet 1; new carpeting in the bedrooms, closets 2 and 3. All good-sized and all being used in an efficient manner ... or so I thought. Once I started moving stuff out to accommodate the new flooring, I realized the 'out of sight, out of mind' principle had taken hold, in a not-so-efficient manner. Two and half FULL carloads to Salvation Army later, I feel better, lighter and relieved! (I have a storage locker in another part of my building I don't want to think about yet, but it will come. 2. Baking. I have nieces and nephews and I love to send them care packages. It keeps me busy, I love the aroma and I love more than anything the pleasure and sustenance it gives to these wonderfully deserving beautiful human beings I get to boast that I am related! 3. Playing tennis. Mostly, cardio tennis. I love it. Nothing more to say about that. 4. Channel surfing. Let's face. Some nights I'm just too tired and lazy, so I look for anything else that is just mind-numbing ... more in a 'this is really stupid but I'm watching it anyway' than in a 'man, this game is heartbreaking' mind-numbing kind of way. 5. Reading. From news, to politics, to pleasure ... depending on my current day and mood. 6. Laundry. Another past-time.

A bit luckless on the squib hit, but Bourjas hit it a mile.I think if the Twins had any realistic options, they'd send Duffey down right away. Milone's already up, Pat Dean is Pat Dean, and Meyer's still hurt, I believe. They should really think about bringing back May as a starter... we could really use him in the rotation.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 If Nola could locate that curve, yikes
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 6. Watch Mrs Chief do laundry.

ashbury Verified Member Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Calling a double for joeIf you mean a stunt double, yes, at this point in his career it looks called for.
Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Gung ho for Joseph, I guess.
