Game Thread: Twins v Phillies, 6/21 @ 7:10pm CT

This is possibly the best game thread ever.

 

Since I get up in the wee hours of the morning I generally go to bed early even if the game is descent.

 

But today I impulse bought Scotch, so I'll crack that puppy open first.

2 1-/2 Car loads? How many of them were shoes? When your done I will pay your air fair to come clean out my wife's closet.(s). Sadly it will be a one way air fair. Our daughters have tried, the only thing that saved them was a quickly diminishing sense of family. . You, as a complete stranger to her would likely perish, lost in the dietris of one of the closets. You will be sorely missed!

Well, actually, not so much came out of my clothing closet as I go through that regularly. And only two pairs of shoes ... and one of those went to my niece. But the entry closet and the closet in my guest room had become "don't know where else to put it so put it there until I know what I want to do with it" storage closets. Like I said ... out of sight, out of mind ... you forget what all you put in there until you are forced to go through every last little bit of it like I did recently. And that 'two and a half carloads' is a tad misleading. My mini convertible doesn't hold as much as a regular-sized vehicle.

No, if the real purpose is to be a group of friends sitting in the bleachers shooting the breeze, this feels more like just that than I've read in a long time.

 

It's just too bad the game has to start. Although should the Twins win, I'll be giving a good friend in Philly some serious flak.

Just got home from work.  Not sure how much I'll be able to participate tonight, Mrs Chief called me at lunch and let me know her hayfever and diabetes were acting up.
