So, is it fair to say that the expected window where this team will be competitive has been pushed back indefinitely?

Posted

I actually find myself cheering for the Yankees tonight. I want them to run the score up so high that there's a mutiny and Molitor is locked out of his office tomorrow.

only if you figured the window had actually opened or would open this year.

I'm 32 years old, and I've been a pretty decent Twins, Vikings and Timberwolves fan for as long as I remember.  I've never disliked a team or, more importantly, a leadership group more than this.

Pat Dean?  Really...

Neil Ramirez?  Really...

We give Chargois one outing and demote him, and then DFA Arcia in favor of Dean, Ramirez, Park, Santana etc., etc.

We'll probably demote Kepler when Sano comes back.

First time in my life that I'm tuning out the Twins for the rest of the season, and it's not even 4th of July yet.

This will probably get buried because it's on the 6th page of the game thread, but the Pohlads should sadly realize that I'm the one that probably pays the most attention to the Twins of everyone I know...and this is my sentiment.

Well, there was certainly reason for hope. Any prospects that we legitimately have faith in at this point?

The Yankees broadcast keeps showing two fans sitting alone in rain ponchos with the wind just whipping their hair and ponchos around madly. Gotta wonder what sadists would put themselves through that for THIS

And probably paid $20 to park

I was trying to figure out why the season seems so familiar.  Once I did, I felt better.  The season is going to rebound - we just need to talk Tatum O'Neal to head our pitching staff.

I was saying last year and all offseason that our team wasn't close to as good as our record was last year.

But then we mostly stood still in the offseason, while other teams went and got better, and we are now getting killed. Certainly and admittedly didn't expect THIS level of futility, but I absolutely expected us to be worse than last year.

It's hard to like a team that doesn't seem to care how poorly it performs. I know I know, I'm sure they care, but the club is leaderless on and off the field. No dugout blow ups, no media meltdowns. Just a nightly replay of bad, bad baseball.

I'm very, very close to joining you on abandoning this ship.

Oh, let's call it a barge ... seems fitting.

think our rotation ERA will be over 6.00 by [...]?

In the interest of a complete franchise overhaul after the League Office is forced to take over operations...

... I chose "All Star break" from your possible options.

Pat's a pretty androgynous name.

If the 2016 Twins were a car, it would be a 1973 Reliant Robin

I will admit, it's not exactly clear cut who you actually remove from the rotation.

ALL OF THEM

It's hard to imagine a team being this bad.

This is not your imagination. You have entered TwinsWorld. ( Cue to Rod Serling taking a drag)

Haw haw haw!  Just peeking in one last time before I turn to the movie-

"Fans of the Game"---  wasn't the dad wearing an Arcia jersey?

Haw haw haw!

And, for a parting shot-  not only are they getting their brains beaten in AGAIN, they're doing it in those awful red pajamas.  The only way those horrid things would look better is if they had feet in 'em, and a trapdoor in the back.

The twins will be 29-83 against the Yankees since 2002 after tonight's loss.

That's a winning percentage of .258

Welp, Its like that old nursery rhyme every Twins fan grows up hearing after 5 innings.

Rain rain

come come come

The 2016 Twins pitching staff has an ERA+ of 82.

Worse than the 2015 team.

Worse than 2014.

Worse than 2013

Worse than 2012.

Worse than 2011

It was the worst...

Since Louie the first.

So worse than their current overall winning percentage, or...
