adorduan Verified Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 They should make is so that if a reliever comes in with, say a man on first and he lets that runner score, he gets charges with .75 of a run. If the man is on second, .5 and so on.

operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 I'm thinking a quilt that says "you never would have gotten three rings if we kept you...let's bury the hatchet"The quilt could also say "we're sorry we asked you to hit singles to left field...please forgive us"
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Mauer just gonna let that hitting streak die I guess Edit: it was a reaching base streak, and it's still intact
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Does it really though? Yes, but it's closer than it should be. The tie breaker is the bad bear breath that most bear attack survivors complain of. But hey, they've got over a hundred games to pull ahead of the bear, so who knows?
spinowner Provisional Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 I'm thinking a quilt that says "you never would have gotten three rings if we kept you...let's bury the hatchet"The Red Sox were the only team who showed interest when he was released. If he's still bitter about the Twins after 13 1/2 years shouldn't he feel the same way about the other 28 teams who declined to offer him a chance?

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 You did the right thing, turned away, then you looked back? Tsk tsk tsk.I didn't know it had gotten to the point of no return, until I returned to see. Should've just gone to bed and read about it in the morning. But then that wouldn't have been a good start to my day. Better to know now and put it behind me. After all, tomorrow is another day.
adorduan Verified Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Not that I wish injury to any player, but if Hughes goes on the DL maybe Chargois will get called up.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 What was your favorite Phil Hughes moment. When he parked his car behind the outfield fence to avoid signing autographs when he was in AAA LOL
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Just take the called third strike, for a change, Plouff-see. Skip the eye roll, the bat raise, the look of pained unbelief. It's...old.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Off topic, I see that Ventura got 9 games off. Sounds like great fit for the Twins. In fact, the marketing possibilities positively give me goosebumps! For instance: "Twins, come for the game, stay for the crazy!" Or: "This bout is scheduled for 9 innings! And in this corner, weighing in at 175lbs of crazy heat: "Yordano Ventura!"
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 I had a feeling that 7 run 7th would come back and bite us
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Dick almost delirious from the awfulness, noting cheerfully in the 8th that "It was just a couple of innings ago that the Twins were tied!" Thanks, Dick, it's easy to forget how time flies when you're having this much fun... http://content7.flixster.com/site/10/25/97/10259737_ori.jpg
