Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 10, 2016 Author Posted June 10, 2016 I'll go with when he took a line drive off his left knee with two outs in the top of the ninth! Not the answer I was looking for, but.....
Danchat Verified Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Once again, the Twins fail to get a hit with the bases loaded. As expected.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Late rally adding some suspense: Twins jeopardizing their chance to halve their deficit with the Braves and Reds in negative run differential with one fell swoop. Edit: The good news is that with only one scoring with the bases loaded the Twins still have a VERY good chance to reach -100 net runs by the end of the weekend. Milestones.... get to know 'em!!!
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 What a fitting end to this game!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Didn't battle the tails off tonight, that's for sure.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Once again, the Twins fail to get a hit with the bases loaded. As expected. The whole "bases loaded without a run" thing is approaching the absurd. You would think at some point the team would regress to the mean. This team is not only bad, but unlucky.

ashbury Verified Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Hey guys! About time for the first pitch? Any guesses on who'll be player of the game? i'm picking ESan for a strong 8 innings, and a one-two-three ninth by May for the Save.

David HK Verified Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 I didn't know it had gotten to the point of no return, until I returned to see. Should've just gone to bed and read about it in the morning. But then that wouldn't have been a good start to my day. Better to know now and put it behind me. After all, tomorrow is another day.Well said, Ms. Scarlett.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 I honestly feel a bit bad for Dick. He's got a tough job. And getting tougher by the week. I do too, but then I often remember that it's probably pretty good to be Dick Bremer the other 21 hours of the day that he's not describing the crash of baseball's Hindenburg. Or the other 5 months of the year, for that matter. http://share.gifyoutube.com/y0J7Rz.gif On the other hand, you couldn't pay me enough to sit through one losing season with Rik Aalbert, let alone 5 of 6, so yeah, maybe call it a wash.

Platoon Verified Member Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Yes, but it's closer than it should be. The tie breaker is the bad bear breath that most bear attack survivors complain of. But hey, they've got over a hundred games to pull ahead of the bear, so who knows? What's the old joke, we don't have to beat the bear, we have to beat Atlanta?
