Game Thread: Twins vs Marlins, 6/9, 7:10 PM - draft edition

Ball goes into the overhang seats.  Usually people would be scrambling over each other for the ball.

 

One guy finally decides to reach over an pick it up, calmly sits down, and barely even makes the effort to show it to his girl.

 

Thus is the state of the Twins fanbase.

Also not shockingly, 4 of the twins worst 8 seasons have occurred since 2011

In same ways, that's bit disappointing. The way I see it, if you're going down in flames, go down in style.

Well,   when you're a Pohlad,   a Dave St.  Peter,   or most of all,   a Terry Ryan,   you can't spend years and years telling everyone over and over and over again that money doesn't correlate to wins,     and then suddenly reel off a bunch of 90 win seasons after getting your new stadium and above-average revenue stream.

It's tough to see May struggle like this. It is ugly. I think he should be sent to Rochester, but is he a reliever long term? Is he a Starter? I am afraid of what the Twins org would do to him if he is sent down - I'm not sure if it would be of any benefit.

In a season of disappointment, Trevor May is among the worst, for me at least.

 

He SHOULD be dominant.  He's not even mediocre.

/But, but his K/9 rate is 13.5. Strikeouts are everything for a reliever, everyone on this board says so. /sarcasm off

He's a starter, period.  He's got the stuff to be a closer, but not the makeup, it seems.  Start him, sink, swim, or eventually cut, but they need to quit <fiddling> around with guys like May and Meyer.  All that BP stuff with those two is just ridiculous, and has been from the start.  Heh... I said, "start."  Haw haw haw.

I would like to see May start again. Meyer is such a cluster ****, I don't know what to think. My hope for Meyer pretty much is equal to my hope for World Peace and free Dairy Queen 24/7.
