David HK Verified Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 My Gawsh- How many ways do I hate those softball unis? And how many times this year am I going to be forced to have to burn my retinas in order to watch the Twinks? Damn near enough to turn me into a Cubs fan for good.

ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 (edited) Well Sonny, back on 11-24-71, I was in a bind. To be discreet I will keep it simple, not to be too detail oriented. I had been working for the man, and they cut my benefits and pension in August of 70. I reached my breaking point. My work was integral to their cause. I had to take matters into my own hands. My plan worked out perfectly, I never meant to hurt any of the Northwest Orient Airlines employees, and I didn't. They were very accommodating. It certainly was a hassle, but once I got the money that I thought I definitely deserved, and the parachute, which was a stressful situation because I thought they would sabotage it, but fortunately they did not, and I jumped from that airplane and went on to live a very good life. It was a victimless crime and I have no regrets. That jump was colder than a witches you know what and I suffered from frostbite, a pretty bad case I must admit, but I had to refrain from going to the hospital because I didn't want to make any noise. I still have nerve damage in my hands from that incident, but it was damn well worth it. I mapped this whole thing out and I had a colleague pick me up at a rendevous spot. He had to wait 7 hours because jumping from an airplane ain't none too accurate. But that little incident set me up for life and I have no regrets as I enter the ending chapter of my life. They got what they deserved. DBI vote this the BDHQSFT (Best Dashiell-Hammet-like quote so far tonight). Edited April 19, 2016 by ScrapTheNickname Bark's Lounge and glunn 2

You know that question your little granddaughter asked you so many years ago which left you discombobulated and stuttering? Think you could enlighten me at long last? Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Quick question. I thought Fernando Abad was supposed to be back today... but on gameday I'm seeing O'Rourke's still on the bench, so did Abad get an extra day or something? Hosken Bombo Disco 1

David HK Verified Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Say, did anyone know that the Wild are sort of in the playoffs for the hockey thing? Well, let's check in during the inning break- where's that rally rum? See if they're down by a touchdown yet...
tharasix Provisional Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 He said they don't want to be short handed going into NL league game rules, which makes sense. It also seems to mean that the Twins aren't going to prevent Sano from playing 3B against all logic if the situation arises. Hosken Bombo Disco 1
