Florence Henderson (aka Mrs. Brady) died yesterday.

That's sad to hear.... She had a hell of an acting career. Over 60 years being on Broadway, TV, movies, and variety shows.

The year of musicians continues... Leon Russell passes away at 74 years old.

I'll need to look into what kind of music he wrote and played.

Does Alan Thicke count as a musician? He wrote lots of TV theme songs.

Only 69 :(

Alan Thicke had one of the most surreal and lucrative careers in the history of entertainment. Sitcom? Check. Talk show host? Check. Composer of one of Television's greatest ever theme songs (Diff'rent Strokes)? Check.

Craig Sager passed away this afternoon. He was 65 years old. Not a big basketball guy, but he was one of the classiest sideline reporters in sports.

Incredible man. He was the first person to interview Hank Aaron after 715.

Zsa Zsa Gabor, who had been on someone's list each of the 1st 9 years of us doing this (including 14 lists in 2012), died at the age of 99.  No one had her on their list in 2016.

I seem to remember itstimetoeatpaintchips had someone who was 103 when they passed away on his list. Minus 3 for you, genius.

Yes, he had Claude Levi-Strauss on his list, who died in 2009 1 month shy of his 101st birthday.

All of these celebrity deaths this year have been crazy. I think this will keep happening as the more we move into those who found fame in the 50's and 60's when television became a thing there were more celebrities.

But none of these hit as hard as losing your mother does. This year can kiss my ass.

I want to like this in agreement, but that's not the right sentiment by any means. Absolutely sorry to hear...

I know this thread probably is not the best place for me to post this, but I really don't want to start a new thread on this.

Very sad to see Carrie Fisher pass away. Way too young. She was a multi-faceted talent.

Whether it be acting, writing, rewriting movie scripts, advocate, or being a quirky personality.

I really appreciated the honesty with her battles with chemical abuse and depression.

She might have been born into Hollywood royalty and the trappings of that, which certainly had to add to her adult struggles, but she was relatable and I think people from different walks of life, who's own struggles mirrored Carrie Fisher's, lost a great friend today.

The world lost a lot more than Princess Leia today.

There's been numerous celebrity deaths this year but many of them either would have required insider knowledge (Rickman, Bowie) or have been lucky guesses. (Fisher, Thicke)

Are you calling shenanigans?
