David HK Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Well, this one ain't over- although it's looking more over than it did a bit ago.
Hrbowski Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 I think the Twins are being nice, and don't want the Vikes to feel bad about being the only pack of losers in the Twin Cities.

But hey, big 10-7 win for the gophers over Kent state. Yeesh.

wavedog Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Plouffe - and we are on the board - how about 7 runs in the 7th
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 I feel exactly the same when going to the theatre to see what that hack Shakespeare wrote this time.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 The irritating this about how this season is playing out is this should be a learning experience for our younger players. Unfortunately the only young guys that we play regularly are Sano, Rosario, and Buxton.
David HK Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 I wanna see a comeback here, just for the pub crawl folks.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Hughes comes out of the pen. What's that mean?
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 I wanna see a comeback here, just for the pub crawl folks. After this day of baseball a pub crawl after the game should be in order.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Mike Trout is good at baseball
Turd Furgeson Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Rosario is 2 years older than buxton yet looks 7 years further along. Not what I expected from the "can't miss prospect" 2 years is like an eternity at that age.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Trout is ready to greet Hughes, alas. 5-1 CBU. 3 guesses who's ahead.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 That's the good thing about Hughes this year. Starting, relieving, doesn't matter. Dude is consistent.
David HK Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 I'm trying to get in touch with my inner guy-who-would-have-been-ecstatic-with-a-.500-season dude from back in April. Sheesh, that took a load of hyphens. Trying to keep the perspective that we're contending a year or two early, and enjoying this surprise WC chase- but that doesn't mean I ain't living and dying at a playoff run, and cursing Molitor's bones with gusto anyway.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 2 years is like an eternity at that age. True, but lofty expectations are a mother. Gotta be more productive than sub .200 even at this early point with all the talk surrounding him.
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 "Nobody likes to hear it, because it's dull, but the reason you win or lose is darn near always the same - pitching." Earl Weaver Not funny but true!
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 That's the good thing about Hughes this year. Starting, relieving, doesn't matter. Dude is consistent. He allowed fewer runs on the DL... But yeah, he doesn't fluctuate, and he keeps at it.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Oh yeah, Looks like Biloxi got an insurance run in the 6th... I hope the Lookouts make 'em cash in on the policy, or something. 2-0 entering the 7th. CBU
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 I tried touching my inner self but people started to stare.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Conga conga conga. The line is startin'...

Now if he'd just buy us all drinks with his winnings...
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Santana being our main pinch hitter is criminal.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Hicks! Trying the ol' baltimore chop. Alas, not high enough... And i guess they were coincidental, good hits with exclamation points and names. It was worth tryin' though.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Santana being our main pinch hitter is criminal.I think the state of the final wild card race is even more criminal. What will this be, 12 straight combined losses between the twins and Astros?
