I should have clarified... Clearly, since Molitor is hitting Hunter 5th, he has confidence in him. Given this fact, I hate pinch running, with two outs in the 7th, for a guy hitting 5th.

Now... I think Hunter should be hitting 9th (actually he should be on the bench) so I don't mind him not being in the game. So I don't mind it in that regard.

I know there is a lot of criticism of Mauer - and understandably so  - but he has actually been pretty good in some clutch situations this season.  I know people were discussing they would rather have Plouffe than him, and there are reasons why that would make sense, but I still would rather see him in a clutch situation (but I am a Mauer apologist).
