sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 I guess we did have some good luck with our blooper bunts landing for hits and what not, we probably deserve a missed home run off of a catwalk. LOL I think they are missing a golden promotional idea. Ya know how they have knothole games for kids? They should have some sort of "run around the cat walks" day for kids there... If i were a kid, i'd be there in a heartbeat, and i can't imagine a more unique perspective...

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 9 in the AL. (i'll catch up to the thread eventually. I'll pretend i'm Chuck Yeager or something...) Now i've caught up to when i started... Almost there... (Zeno isn't watching, is he?)
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 He is not being aided by his defense this inning. everything has been hard hit all night. At some point you need to actually strike a guy out once in a while. His success earlier this year was pure smoke and mirrors. He is ok as a pitching depth guy, but Berrios is the much superior option at this point
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 I can't wait until September when Molly can really start managing a bullpen.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Now i've caught up to when i started... Almost there... (Zeno isn't watching, is he?)Boy, it's like that some game threads, isn't it? Almost caught up, then a (very welcome) phone call from AshburySteven, and it's catchup time again.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Kurt Sazuki's defense strikes again...
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Suzuki should not be on this team next year
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Escobar and Suzuki both give up their RBIs with two dumb headed plays.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Can someone explain what the hell happened there?
Gibby Provisional Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Can someone explain what the hell happened there? It's a Twins game.
David HK Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Um, what th... Did Molly hook Milone for the guy with the wprst inherited runners mark in the history of baseball there?
mlynch16 Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Buxton needs more minor league time. He has no pitch recognition.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 I still want him in the line-up over Hunter once HIcks is back.Buxton needs more minor league time. He has no pitch recognition.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Buxton needs more minor league time. He has no pitch recognition. On that one particular at bat.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Buxton's pitch recognition continues to baffle me. Strikeout #4 looked like me in Little League, swinging at the pitch when it's basically in the catcher's mitt (in this case low and outside). Slow recognition, slow bat... the hit-tool is coming along more gradually than expected for him.
mlynch16 Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 I still want him in the line-up over Hunter once HIcks is back.True. His speed alone makes things interesting not to mention his cannon of an arm.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 We have a pleisiosaur in the pond out back. One moment, while i look this up...
mlynch16 Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 On that one particular at bat.Or just missing fastballs all night.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 What's the potion of choice tonight? Random question. I think a random question would really hit the spot!
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Or just missing fastballs all night.I'll tell you, strikeout machine though he is, Sano does not swing on that count at that ridiculous pitch Buxton whiffed on. Something is wrong; I've seen this since spring. I think he eventually turns it around but right now it's painful.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Guess I'm not all keyed up about our rookies screwing up. It's what they do.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 One moment, while i look this up... Wow, i want to see this pleisiosaur! What's it eat? Can i play with it, if i promise not to take it out of the water?
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Guess I'm not all keyed up about our rookies screwing up. It's what they do.Sure, I'm patient too, and if the brain trust feels he'll learn more in the majors than at AAA I'll live with it. I'm just calling it as I see it right here in the present - in a wild card race to boot.

Slower but a couple of sites that project future stats had Buxton not really clicking offensively until about his third season.
