Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 The Twins haven't lost a series in New York since 2011. Let that sink in too.I know, I was shocked too.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Through 4.5 innings: Pelfrey - 217 pitchesSabathia - 11 pitches
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 The twins haven't won a season series against the Yankees since 2001. Let that sink deep into your skull. And we know it wasn't Gardy's fault. If he'd only had some decent players.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 No. No...I can't take another no hitter/perfect game against the Yankees. I live in pennsylvania and I distinctly remember 10 year old me listening to David wells throw his PG. I simply cannot take more embarrassment at the hands of these guys. I won't watch another game all year.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 19, 2015 Author Posted August 19, 2015 Waste not, want not. Let us bring Plouffe in...
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 There goes the PG. I thank heavens I won't have to watch replays of another slovenly pitcher drop to his knees in elation against our guys.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Will Hunter relinquish right field this weekend? I still believe my bold prediction will come to pass. So sayeth I.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 The Eiffel Tower is New York? When did that happen?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Hunter is stinking up the joint.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 The Eiffel Tower is New York? When did that happen? Yeah... Monument to be named later... All Part of the Statue of Liberty Deal from a few years back.
Platoon Verified Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Well, the last time it happened before then was 1992. Two season series wins in 23 years. There isn't really a sports term to describe that kind of domination. Maybe owning? As I noted in my non-award winning post today, comparing the Twins/Yankees non rivalry to the Vikings/Lions from the late '60's through '80's! I think 34-9 Vikes!
SydneyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Man, Hunter's 5-45 August is getting harder and harder to watch
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Finally! Now we can lose meekly, but not historically, per the norm.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 I would argue the best three OF the twins could throw out every night is Buxton Rosario and Hicks. It's a disgrace 2 of those three aren't playing in a near must win game
S. Verified Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 That was nice...and then stupid as hell.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 For gods sake, why send him? Wasn't even close.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Normally I would bitch about that send, but robinson was due up next which is a sure out anyways. I'm fine with that send
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Thank god.Who is this god you speak of?
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Ullger, is that you???http://www.thaxted.co.uk/system/files/image/Photos/thaxted-windmill_440w.jpg
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Twins Baserunning -- must be learning from skunks. It stinks.
S. Verified Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Seriously, what the hell was that? First we have to watch Torii try to steal yesterday and now we send a guy who gets thrown out by 20 feet. Bet we don't get another runner on base the rest of the game now.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Somebody please punch Gene Glynn directly in the face upon returning to the dugout. WTF?!!!
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Send him. Why not. It took near perfect execution to get him. Aggression on the basepaths is good.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Pelfrey needs a shutdown inning. and by that I mean keeping it under 30 pitches.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 19, 2015 Author Posted August 19, 2015 Yeah... Monument to be named later... All Part of the Statue of Liberty Deal from a few years back. Not a free agent signing? I guess that's how come i like Mount Rushmore. That's home grown talent...
