Memo to Twins batters: stop pretending this is the 2011 version of CC Sabathia.  This is the edition with the 5+ ERA who has coughed up more HRs than anyone not called Phil Hughes.  Deal with it.

We have 3 guys with fresh arms.  Because our bullpen was not run through.  Hence no need to bring up a fourth fresh arm, otherwise a team with a 7 man bullpen would have to make a move every time they used 4 relievers in a game.

I wish the twins could just simulate these games against the Yankees and skip ahead to their next game. They are so utterly pathetic against NY that it pains me to even watch.

 

Their struggles against the Yankees in the last 12 or so years are a pretty telling reason why this team hasn't accomplished jack squat since half our lineup was in diapers, despite having decent clubs. They are mentally weak, no matter how good or bad the Yankees are. They will continue to accomplish nothing so long as they can't hang with teams between the ears. Change of managers, change of rosters. Doesn't matter. I wouldn't put this Yankees team in the top 5 yankee clubs of the last 10 years. Maybe not even top 7. But it doesn't matter. They'll probably get swept this series, and if they're lucky, they won't lose on another walk off.
