PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 For weeks, I haven't been able to stomach watching the Twins play. But I do pay attention to game day (out of perverse curiosity, surely); and moments like this make me glad I pay enough cursory attention to flip on MLB.tv . I only have to watch the watchable moment to get all the warm fuzzies. USAFChief 1
spinowner Provisional Member Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Where would we be without Sano? Man, he's just getting adjusted to the majors... I look forward to when he's in his prime. We'll have to ask Torii--does he have his man-muscles yet?
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Man, the Twins needed and deserved that win. That eighth inning was straight up bad luck. Dozier four feet foul, then robbed of a hit, then Sano missing a homer by inches. twinsnorth49 and USAFChief 2
David HK Verified Member Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 So far in this game, the Twins have come to life a bit and gone from dead to somnolent. I expect over over the next few games the Twins may achieve Zombie status. After that, the sky is the limit. One would hope they'd become the fast, ravenous zombies, like in 28 Days Later, and not the slow-as-hell-zombies in every other stinkin' movie. Blake 1
jimmer Verified Member Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 First time in history, all the home teams won.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 First time in history, all the home teams won.Not exactly true. All home teams have won but never when there were 15 games played. All 11 home teams won once in 1989. In 1914 all 12 home teams won. (3 leagues, 4 games in each league.)

(3 leagues, 4 games in each league.)ok. this is what I read on MLB Dot Com The Mariners' walk-off victory over the Orioles on Tuesday night capped an unprecedented slate in Major League Baseball. For the first time in the league's history, all 15 home teams won on the same day. Prior to Tuesday, the closest the home teams have come was 12 wins more than a century ago, on May 23, 1914, according to Elias Sports Bureau So, still pretty impressive.
