Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 On Sano being thrown out on third: Glynn was waving Mauer home and ran with Mauer down the line to the plate. So Glynn wasn't even in the play to give a stop sign to Sano. Glynn made a mistake but Sano's inexperience played into it, too. Also, of Sano hits the ball 8 inches further it's a home run

JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 The way the Twins are hitting, it kind of makes me regret the AS Break.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 11, 2015 Author Posted July 11, 2015 They are looking under every rock for every scapegoat they can find. Michigan is not baseball happy. Scapegoats are under rocks?
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 The way the Twins are hitting, it kind of makes me regret the AS Break. No kidding. Didn't they get a little hot (lukewarm?) prior to the ASG last year too? This isn't the 2011-2014 Twins either.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 Memo RE: Brian Dozier Yes, to all those offensive stats, but how about defense. Hasn't he perfected the the fall-to-the-ground-on-one-knee and-throw-simultaneously method, and doesn't he seem to turn the double play as well as anybody, and he has not made just 3 errors so far this season? So I thought I would look up the DWAR of the second basemen in the American League. I found that Dozier is tied for 5th best defensive second basement in the AL. (I do not pretend to understand DWAR, thus I won't defend it). But someone else, looking at these stats, might have a better idea about what is actually going when rating second basemen). 1.Kinsler 1.32.Infante .93.Sogard .74.Kipnis .65.Altuve .46.Dozier .47.Forsyth .48.Cano -.19.Pedroia -.210.Giavotella -.7

I hope Brian isn't in any immediate danger being a Twins' fan in Tigers' territory! I give people around here... Twins Pens and they take them and say Thank You. I'll have them converted by the All-Star Break
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 The Twins have scored 12 runs straight on the Tiggers. This is good. EDIT: 14 straight runs. UPDATE: 15 straight.

Also, of Sano hits the ball 8 inches further it's a home runIn my opinion, Sano thought there would be a play at the plate, and wisely tried to take third. Detroits 1B made a somewhat questionable choice to concede the run, and was therefore able to get Miguel by a mile.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 Never make the first or third out at third. But making the second out at third is okay? I never quite understood that.
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 DOZIER!!!!! All-Star!If I could like this more than once I would.

Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 Why wait til the 9th to let them score? Ok, nuf's enuf.
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 Ahem...Hughes, you had a 7 run lead. Way to get out of it though.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 But making the second out at third is okay? I never quite understood that. It's not worth the gamble to try to take third. It is good to be on third with less than two outs.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 Let me know how that worked out. Lol. 3 likes?

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 11, 2015 Author Posted July 11, 2015 Tails they have, and so retaliated to the tune of three. Three to seven, Tigers to the Twins. Half way through the 4th. Spoil us, good Twins. What would another crooked number look like? CBU
