Circus Boy Verified Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 I like Hughes. He may be learning for the first time how to pitch. Before he was a thrower. And he battles his tail off.
big dog Verified Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Nope. He had to actually run the three bases. All of them... in one play. Assisted by a two-base error.
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 with 6 earned runs and 8 hits off sale in 6-2/3 innings ... This probably does not need to be said, but As Expected.
amjgt Verified Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 95 Pitches for Hughes though 8 - Bring on the CG
70charger Verified Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 These Chicago announcers are awful. Also, what's this about MLB canceling 60 million all star votes? Is that really a thing?
70charger Verified Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 I do. Hughes is only at 84 pitches. He'll be out there hopefully through the 7th, so that helps. Good point. I'd like to see him finish this game.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 I caught a bit of the game today and it appears the Sox were up to their old tricks, throwing the ball with reckless abandon all over the field regardless of whether or not runners happened to be on base.
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Would have liked Hughes to finish the game.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Would have liked Hughes to finish the game. You're not the only one.

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Would have liked Hughes to finish the game.Twins win! And we STILL all want Hughes to finish the complete game, just to feel safe
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Winnah!Beaten to the punch by 5 seconds... (And by a much larger font)
70charger Verified Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Beaten to the punch by 5 seconds...(And by a much larger font) James, did you have that pre-typed out, with your cursor hovering over the post button?
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 These Chicago announcers are awful. Also, what's this about MLB canceling 60 million all star votes? Is that really a thing?I saw or heard something that all those votes have already been cancelled, so what you see with all the KC starters is still valid. Who knows. We shall see what happens.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Despite being a mouth breather, he's a very smart guy. Wasn't he in "Napoleon Dynamite"?
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Our first series win in June. Gotta start somewhere, and that's a good thing.
Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Anybody else ready to embrace Nunez as our everyday SS?

OldTimeTwinkie Provisional Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 I am on board with el Nunez as our ss. Keep on making the routine plays and his bat is helping.
SweetOne69 Verified Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 This the 2nd outing in a row where Hughes was pulled after 8 innings while throwing 95 pitches. Both games the Twins had 5+ run leads, but Hughes wasn't given the opportunity to finish the game. I don't know if it was Hughes' decision or Molitor's, but it is disappointing to not see him get the chance to finish the game
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 I don't care if he finishes the game at all. What I don't get is why not use Duensing there, I mean, if he's on the roster......
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 To me, they beat Sale......and scored a lot. Shows the power of stringing hits together overly randomly distributing them.....

Blake Verified Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Hawk: "Sale struck out 10 batters today!"Random Sox Fan: "Sale lost 6 - 1"Hawk: "But Sale struck out 10 today!" (I admit, I did not listen to the game today. However, I've listened to Hawk enough to be able to recreate his conversations)
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 I know that there was a big deal made about how good May was and how bad June was. Here is a slightly different way of looking at the season: 4-65-58-26-47-33-75-5(1-1) Let's see if they can string together a few more 6s and 7s....
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Great win, hopefully the Mariners can take care of business and put the Twins only 2.5 back of the division.Currently tied for the Wild Card first place lead, hopefully this will get them to start winning series again.
James Verified Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 James, did you have that pre-typed out, with your cursor hovering over the post button?Nope. I guess the caffeine must have been flowing and I was able to get to it quickly.
