twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Ugh, Hughsie fooling nobody here.
Whammy Verified Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 You see the pitcher is a left hander, if I put a right hand hitter in his place it's called playing the percentages. It's what smart managers do to win ball games. Remind me again how many lefties we have faced this year and how many Mauer has sat out against? Also, what's our record in those games?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 We'll just have to agree to disagree. No i think we should disagree about agreeing... (er, to disagree?)
Joe A. Preusser Verified Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Remind me again how many lefties we have faced this year and how many Mauer has sat out against? Also, what's our record in those games?Dude look out, something just whizzed over your head.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 The past has no bearing on right now, especially where Mauer is concerned.
James Verified Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 We'll just have to agree to disagree.Well, it's been a while since I've had either of them, so I guess I'm just going on instinct/faded memories.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 Boston has a 2-1 advantage halfway through the third.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 So we are going to see the Lapanta, Blyleven show tomorrow.
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Hughes better settle down, but if we don't start hitting, what's the difference.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 3-1 with this lineup? Might as well be 10-1. ball game, hopefully they can salvage a split in the night cap.
gil4 Verified Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I always thought Milwaukee could do better. I'm not sure they could do worse.
gocgo Verified Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Anyone in Sioux Falls? Going to be watching tomorrow at something called Munk's House of Ale Repute.Yes and I have been there. Small bar, great name.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Way to go, Danny 3-1 Boston at the end of 4 CBU
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 Christ on a crutch! The phrase i'm fond of is "jumping jesus on a pogo stick" (which is from a dead milkman's song, i believe) But that's pretty good too!
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 Way to go, Danny 3-1 Boston at the end of 4 CBU Think! What did we do against Toronto?
KirbyHawk75 Verified Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I do not get Ryan's hurry to give Hughes an extension after one good season. We have a lot of money tied up on average pitchers.
KidBro Verified Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Pedroia owning Hughes this season, WOW.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 I'm mildly encouraged by 8 hits (2 doubles) and a walk over 4 innings yielding only 3 runs. But we're still behind.
gocgo Verified Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 This is the ugliest 3-1 game I have watched. Seems like it should be about 8-1.
James Verified Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Dude look out, something just whizzed over your head.
gocgo Verified Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Kind of chuckled at Ortiz throwing up his arms after he ripped one up the middle and got out. I didn't seem him doing that on that pop fly double off the monster. I get that there is tradition and all of that, but I kind of thing the ball park is a joke.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 5-1 Red Sox CBU, as Hughes is chaste. Er, i mean chased. Santana on with an infield single to deep short. (I don't know if i'm proud of my restraint, or kicking myself for a missed joke opportunity while Toronto was the opponent of using the adjective Santanian) And a walk to Dozier. Is something brewing?

Gibby Provisional Member Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 This has potential. It's Plouffy time.

Surely I respect Moli for not using him, but couldn't we fill that 25th spot w/ a better use?
