DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Making a call: Twins will win 88 games and get a wild card spot.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 It does seem like, this year (knock on wood) that, if nothing else (sign of the cross) this team's misfortunes (Alhamdulillah) have turn around (tosses spilt salt over left shoulder), eg. health, prospects doing well, etc (horseshoe on door).
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Making a call: Twins will win 88 games and get a wild card spot. Making a call: You've had waaaay too much Vodka mixed with Twins kool-aid.
Boom Boom Verified Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I only wish the Butera thread was #6000.
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I only wish the Butera thread was #6000. At least you have incorporated him into the thread. It is possible we acquire Drew before one of the trade deadlines, and in the first play-off game he helps Hughes pitch a perfect game and gets the walk off hit that wins the game.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I was wondering earlier how many miles we've all written on TD, but I didn't think there would be a better place to bring it up than on the game thread tonight. Guess I was wrong.
gunnarthor Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I hope this isn't a reverse jinx thread.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Making a call: Twins will win 88 games and get a wild card spot.Is this before or after they acquire Punto and Derosa?
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 It's after Buxton and Sano join the team.
Blake Verified Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Twins are in contention at the trade deadline. Schaefer and Robinson are traded to a contender so Buxton and Hicks can take over outfield duties. Pelfrey moves to the pen and becomes a lights-out setup man. One of the arms in the system becomes the next Scott Erickson and replaces Pelfrey in the rotation. ...if you're going to dream, might as well go big..
drunksam Verified Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Making a call: You've had waaaay too much Vodka mixed with Twins kool-aid. Who mixes their vodka?
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Who mixes their vodka? You wouldn't dare do that drunksam. vodka straight with an orange slice? Perhaps SpiritofVodkaDave was drinking goose from the bottle and chasing it with Twins kool-aid. It's the only explanation I can think of for making that bold of a prediction.

blairpaul715 Verified Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I dont post much , because after every few days things change in our minds and sometimes our hearts, but if i posted how i felt everyday, i would be so wishy washy, going back and forth, like may of the people i read comments from...............i like to take a period of time and comment , usually. Give a better perspective of what is or what i think is really happening.............I will say, we are playing better, hitting is really coming along, thinking it is contagious............but i didnt and dont expect this year to be special, I was and am hoping for a .500 season, and if we go beyond my expectations, then I will be ecstatic.........but no grandiose ideas of making playoffs here, prove me wrong .............................Remember a year or 2 ago when Plouffe had that monstrous month of HR's , was it a dozen???? He looks looks confident and we have him for 2 more yrs if we want to pay the Arb prices he might demand, 8 million next yr??? 12-15 million the yr after????
MileHighTwinsFan Verified Member Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I saw something in the team last night. Coming back from 4-run deficit, Hughes gritting it out despite not having his best stuff, a key defensive play, a veteran igniting a dugout with a 3-run blast, a closer stumbling but not crumbling, and smiles all around after the game . I'm in!
