Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 When you blow in a dog's face, he gets mad at you, but when you take him on a car ride, he sticks his head out the window. I used to like... (Still kinda do)... placing my hand out the car window and pushing my hand forward into the wind and then letting my hand blow back and then doing it again. I remember my Mom getting concerned about it and saying that It wasn't safe because I could get my hand knocked off by a passing car or caught in the tire. I told her... There are risks an Orangutan must endure for the simple pleasures in life.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 I see 12 hits for the Twins today, and 7 runs should do it. And Plouffe will provide 11 of those hits.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Is it just me... or does Nolasco appear to be a little more off-speed this year? Ok.. Game... Year is a little lofty on April 8th
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 8, 2015 Author Posted April 8, 2015 Applause to Sample Size!!! It is harder than it looks but the 2nd one will be easier and the third one will be easier yet. Unfortunately... the 47th one will go back to being hard again. Other things that are harder than they look. 1. Pumpkin Carving 2. Polka Dancing 3. Canoe-ing 4. Explaining why you did something wrong to your wife 5. Grandma's -- Oh Sure they look all soft and Grandma like until you accidentally run into one at full speed. I continue to be surprised though, that things are usually easier than i expected when i actually try to do them. Due to #4, and the apparently inadvertent possessive apostrophe to start #5, i postulated perhaps #5 should be "grammars." But please do not remove the elegant ambiguity of #4. One assumes the wife is fully capable of explaining.

Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Is Alex Avila a flight risk?
twinscowboysbulls Verified Member Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Is Ricky topping out at 88 MPH?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 8, 2015 Author Posted April 8, 2015 Is it just me... or does Nolasco appear to be a little more off-speed this year? Ok.. Game... Year is a little lofty on April 8th My impression was that was his strength... Not that i've paid as close attention as should. That said, something seems to be afoot in the game: he has runners at 2nd and 3rd with no out.
Whammy Verified Member Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 From ESPN gamecast (during the Gose at bat) Chance of scoring 1+ runs this inning (0 outs, Runners on 2nd, 3rd): 28.48%Chance of scoring 2+ runs this inning (0 outs, Runners on 2nd, 3rd): 13.42% That CAN'T be right. That's not a rip on Nolasco or anything, I just refuse to believe those odds.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 8, 2015 Author Posted April 8, 2015 "No-sac-fly-for-you" Arcia makes the catch in shallow left, charging well.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 If gameday is to be believed he was sitting at 89-90 in the first inning - it might have been reading a little fast...
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Dick and Bert need to buy a rule book and stop bitching about Monday.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Is Ricky topping out at 88 MPH? God No... What game are you watching? I saw the Gun register 89 a couple of times
twinscowboysbulls Verified Member Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Nevermind, I've seen 91 now. I was a little worried at a few of the gun readings.
FattCrapps Verified Member Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 That check swing was much worse than Torii's to end the game. Cowboy West has got to go.
Tibs Verified Member Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 The check swing appeals down to Joe West are annoying me a little bit.
Whammy Verified Member Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Now with Kinsler up to bat: Chance of scoring 1+ runs this inning (1 out, Runners on 2nd, 3rd): 70.66%Chance of scoring 2+ runs this inning (1 out, Runners on 2nd, 3rd): 38.97%
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Current chance of scoring 2 runs.....100%.* *math...science....stats....hard stuff, man.

Ok... I'm thinking of 39 numbers between 1-100. Take a guess and see if you nail one.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Good to see everybody back. What did everyone do during off-season? I read about the Roman Empire. Turns out Caesar was a Twins Daily fan. His motto was: "Divide and Concur."
twinscowboysbulls Verified Member Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Bogus... Should've been strike 3 on Miguel. Wake up offense!
Whammy Verified Member Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 I'll round that up... Ok... I'm thinking of 39 numbers between 1-100. Take a guess and see if you nail one. 8 (the number of runs Nolasco is going to give up today)
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 It's another "limit the damage" Tuesday on Twins Daily
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 8, 2015 Author Posted April 8, 2015 Come on! One more ball for Arcia to catch, and we're out of the inning...

One of the older posters should be able to recall.
