LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Wow. This is little league stuff. Molitor NOW, please. It won't fix what's wrong immediately, but it will let fans and Twins personnel know that this is not acceptable.
Ben B Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 September 1: Roster expansion, losing team fan interest contraction. We all get that the MLB draft is a crapshoot compared to the drafts of the other 'Big 4' sports, but seeing Trout and Hicks on the same field is still painful. Hicks was actually the Twins' first-rounder in 2008, Trout was picked in '09. Twins picked Gibson that year (two picks before Trout), so your point stands...
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 They're creepy and they're kooky, mysterious and spooky... The pre-game thread starter was yet another example of why the mods are still an undervalued TD asset despite their six-figure salaries, lavish benefits, and favorable treatment from Target Field ushers. Well done, again.Wait...what was that first thing again?
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Well, I managed to come in for the Angels scoring outburst. BTW, the front is coming through here..... cooling off (and drying down) beautifully. Gonna be in the 50's tonight.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 Ugh. 50s? Sigh.
big dog Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Is it too late to pick "Bad Gibson" in the pool? If they get Swarzak warmed up...grrr...
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 In other news, the Miracle are up 4-1 through six.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Ugh. 50s? Sigh. I'm LOVING it. I hate summer heat although this one was surprisingly pleasant.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 After the winter we had was looking forward to summer heat ... and it never came.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 One of "those" innings.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Well, I managed to come in for the Angels scoring outburst. Gonna be in the 50's tonight.Gibby is struggling through this inning, but I gotta believe he gets pulled way before they get 30, much less 50.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 Finally. Sigh. Wish I was at the Miracle game tonight instead.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Wait...what was that first thing again? An explanation could get ooky.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I'm LOVING it. I hate summer heat although this one was surprisingly pleasant.Good sleeping weather.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 Looks as if Gardy and Molly are discussing the infield's mishap with the infielders.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 An explanation could get ooky.Something about "six figures" I believe it was. In this scenario, where is the decimal point, exactly?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Ok... If I understand this correctly... The score was zero zero and then the Angels exploded for 4 runs in an inning. This leads to my question... When did JB start watching?

This leads to my question... When did JB start watching? About the time the Angels scored. Actually I've had the game on the whole time .... I just didn't get it here cuz I had to get some work done.
Platoon Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Yeah. Not trying to gin up controversy on what is turning out to be a slow night, but has anyone put together a really compelling case for Ron Gardenhire to continue to manage the Twins?I am not sure why Gardy's exit should be controversial. Continuing on a march to -90. Has played Nunez at short much more often than Santanna? Insists on needing a certain catcher to "mentor" the upcoming young pitchers, and then catches Pryor either 2 of 3 or 3 of 4 times in Mays first games. Whoops, gotta run Marnie is doing the lottery winners for Bert... Later
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 @RhettBollinger: Top prospect Byron Buxton doesn't have concussion-related symptoms anymore, Rob Antony said. He'll head to instructional league before AFL. Good news is where you find it.

That if it does end up conclusive... We don't care... We'd still like you to hang around. Just stop putting nuts in the brownies.

Thegrin Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I figure 5 pitches per out = a decent chance to the 7th inning. So far (despite the self-inflicted runs) Gibson has thrown 73 pitches in 5 innings. It is also important to have a quick inning after a terrible one
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 Nuts in brownies ... hmmm ... depends on whether or not you frost them. If frosted, yes; if not, no.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 Okay, one run back. It's a start. Miracle are up 5-1

JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Do you ever have something that gets stuck in your outbox (in this case a plain e-mail, no attachments or photos) and no matter what you do you can't get it to move? I finally went to a different e-mail provider and sent it from that one. Too weird. Sent e-mails all day -- maybe it was just tired.
