InfraRen Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Whoa JJ Cooper @jjcoop36Hearing Marlins will take Kolek. They have loved his velo, easy delivery, upside. Eventually him + Jose Fernandez + Eovaldi, velo city. Also, if you don't want me to post these here I won't.
B Richard Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Really, really want Jackson if he falls
B Richard Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Baseball America @BaseballAmerica 58sMultiple confirmation of Kolek at 2 to Marlins. #MLBDraft
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Ok no surprise there. Now it gets interesting.
B Richard Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Oh boy! It's gonna get interesting!!!
PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 So much for Kolek dropping. I hope we don't see both Gordon/Rodon go 3/4.
gunnarthor Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 So, this draft is setting up nicely for Chicago ....
Twins Twerp Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 WTF? Never heard this pick. Never ever ever. WTF is going on
gunnarthor Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Rodon is going to sliiiiiiiide I don't think the Cubs will pass on him
B Richard Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 I'm going to be sad if Jackson is one the board and we pass up on him
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 So much for Kolek dropping. I hope we don't see both Gordon/Rodon go 3/4. Then we get a real good hitting RF.
2wins87 Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 I don't think the Cubs will pass on him I'm not so sure the Sox will, $6 mil is only a little over their slot value, I'd think they'd work out a deal
B Richard Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Retweeted by Baseball AmericaClint Longenecker @Clint_BA 1mHearing White Sox will take LHP Carlos Rodon at No. 3
30whales Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 So much for Rodon sliding. I am stupid.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Great. Can't wait to face t his guy 4-5 times / year for the next 10 years.
70charger Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Aside from the last-few-days smoke screens and faux drama, this is going more or less how it was projected over the past week. Hey, at this point, one of Gordon and Jackson will be available. I'm still on the Nick Gordon bandwagon.
gunnarthor Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 So it looks like Twins will get to choose between Jackson and Gordon - I bet they take Gordon
B Richard Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Retweeted by Baseball AmericaClint Longenecker @Clint_BA 1mCubs will draft Kyle Schwarber at No. 4 sources say
70charger Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Retweeted by Baseball AmericaClint Longenecker @Clint_BA 1mCubs will draft Kyle Schwarber at No. 4 sources say That would be ...unexpected. Still doesn't change the likelihood of Gordon, I would think, as the top 3 arms are off the board.
kab21 Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 So much for Rodon sliding. I am stupid. Not really. He could slid if he got past the White Sox. Cubs are talking about saving some money and I'm not sure the Twins would have sacrificed extra money/picks for an overslot deal. I think the Twins will have their choice of Gordon and Jackson. And they will take Gordon. I would take Jackson.
InfraRen Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 JJ Cooper @jjcoop36Confident that Gordon going to Twins at No. 5 which was rumored by everyone coming in. Draft set up well for them.
Dman Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Man the Cubs are gonna have one heck of lineup if they take Schwarber
PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Jon Heyman @JonHeymanCBS 34scubs to take kyle schwarber, indiana c-of
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 I no longer believe in the Cubs leadership.
