Game Thread: Twins v Red Sox, 5/14 @ 7:10pm CT

[Jerr]

Ortiz, only trails Ted Williams and Yastremzski in career Red Sox's homeruns:eek:

[Jerr]

If, this was in Boston this rally would be over..........I think:p

[notoriousgod71]

Pitching to contact!

[JB_Iowa]

Was trying to decide whether to watch the season finale of Criminal Minds or the game during the 8:00 hour ....

I think KC has decided for me.

If this game was in Boston... We'd be up first and ahead 2-0.

[Mike Sixel]

KC even worse in person than on the radio.

[drock2190]

We got them right there were we want them!

[Riverbrian]

Lulling Doubront into a false sense of security.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

At least you got to see a Mauer 4-3 putout live

[Riverbrian]

I'm Riverbrian and you're watching Fox Sports North

[stringer bell]

Only 2 catchers and 2 shortstops in tonight's lineup. Odd.

Well, 3 catchers if you count Mauer. Dozier and Plouffe came up as shortstops, correct?

[stringer bell]

May for Correia?

[ashbury]

I'm consistently inconsistent.

Only sometimes, though.

[ashbury]

Used to say that about Boone and Erickson, too.

[sampleSizeOfOne]

And people would be talking with disturbing accents.

Wicked!

Mmmm... spoonerisms... Spox Norts Forth...

[Riverbrian]

Mmmm... spoonerisms... Spox Norts Forth...

I was just practicing in case I could get a gig doing that.

[stringer bell]

We're due for a 5-run inning about now.

[snepp]

Question I need answered in this game thread: How much are we to blame Anderson for Morenau's success upon leaving the Twins?

Beautiful.

[Riverbrian]

We're due for a 5-run inning about now.

We gotta wait for the bottom of the order

[GCTF]

Too early for Cy Doubront?

[Guest USAFChief]

Give it some time.

Like, through the middle of tomorrow's game.

[zchrz]

Why do they keep pitching to him?

[notoriousgod71]

It makes me laugh when guys like Ortiz, Bautista, and Davis just crush our pitch to contact garbage.

[snepp]

Give it some time.

Like, through the middle of tomorrow's game.

You were saying?

So, let's revisit that whole "throw Ortiz a pitch in the same zip code" idea.

[snepp]

Why do they keep pitching to him?

Masochism?

[VATwinsFan]

Someone remind again who we got in the trade for Ortiz?

Oh, wait....

[JB_Iowa]

We're due for a 5-run inning about now.

New Red Sox spokesman?

[JB_Iowa]

Someone remind again who we got in the trade for Ortiz?

Oh, wait....

"What do I like? Whopping the Twins …" Ortiz said of the team that released him after the 2002 season.

[notoriousgod71]

Oh, is the bullpen overworked again? Send down some of our excess outfielders and call up a couple relievers...
