longstrangetrip Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Perhaps Perk should spend more time working on his breaking ball, and less time punking Pelfrey...doesn't seem quite so funny now.
twinscowboysbulls Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Can someone please pinch hit for Bartlett or is he the best option we could ever possibly have as a DH?!?

Winston Smith Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I wonder if Riverbrian will have any post-game thoughts to offer about Plouffe's defensive prowess? What defensive prowess?
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Can someone please pinch hit for Bartlett or is he the best option we could ever possibly have as a DH?!?Cola.
twinscowboysbulls Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Why the hell did Gardy let Bartlett bat last time, if he wasn't going to let him bat this time? Makes absolutely no frickin sense. I'm sure he was thinking, oh boy, we have the lead, good time to get some guys an at-bat!
GCTF Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Can someone please pinch hit for Bartlett or is he the best option we could ever possibly have as a DH?!? Jason Tyner would like to speak with you.
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Can the Mighty Whities pen be as bad as ours?
mhanson93 Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Well, that walk didn't help one bit. Perkins first blown save of the year, of many, I'm afraid. Derp
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Plouffesie didn't quite have the distance there.
Since71 Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 So Gardy did you know Kubel can't hit lefties and you have Colabello on the bench?... same old same old. On a positive note we are deep in DH. We have 3 starting today 1 at DH 1 at 3rd and 1 in left...big sigh
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Plouffesie didn't quite have the distance there. The wind kept it in.

Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Best bring in long relief, like Duensing, as we may not score again for multiple innings.
Since71 Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 My bad colabello already in I must have been crying in the other room when he came in
Whammy Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 If Deduno isn't coming in here, then what exactly was the point of him warming up in the 9th?
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Nice movement on Tonkin's fastball for strike three.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Best bring in long relief, like Duensing, as we may not score again for multiple innings. The announcers made a reference to Duensing being not on the roster, hence Tonkin's availability at all. I do not remember seeing anything about Duensing - anyone know?

Winston Smith Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I think we may be seeing the two worst teams in the AL this year.
SydneyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Nice work Tonkin. He might stay up even when Duensing is back depending on how Fien's ankle is
savvyspy Provisional Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Can we put a fork in this comical Dozier as a leadoff guy thing? Just put Hicks back up top of the order. There is nothing that epitomizes Mauer better than him coming up late in the game and nursing a 1 out walk. Always kicking the can down the lineup to generate runs.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Can we put a fork in this comical Dozier as a leadoff guy thing? Just put Hicks back up top of the order. He will eventually, but after what happened last year and with the start he's off to, they better leave him alone for now.
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I'm so p'd off I typed Duensing instead of Swarzak. This could be a long season on this old timer.
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I agree but hesitate to "like" this. I didn't like saying it either. However, I'm not a big fan of bad baseball.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I'll take the blame. I turned on the game just in time for Dunn's AB in the 8th.

Yeah, if he keeps it up for a dozen games or so that may be time to revisit it. It would certainly be a nice boost.
