Chance Provisional Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 We haven't had a catcher bat this well since Joe Mauer!
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 4 RBI for Suzuki in the first two games? If present trends continue, I expect more of the same.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 We haven't had a catcher bat this well since Joe Mauer! There's just something about working behind the plate that sharpens your perception on the offensive side too. It's too much of a pattern to ignore. SABR should look into this.
twinscowboysbulls Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I'm really enjoying the fast start Hicks has gotten off to. Is that new First Basemen we signed supposed to be a good hitter? I see here he hasn't gotten a hit yet. I thought players at that position hit homeruns? Can someone fill me in?
James Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Oh, gee... look who struck out again.
Chance Provisional Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I thought that would have been a good time to use the bench and pinch hit Joe Mill.. O well..
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 How slow of a runner must Konerko be, to be pinch-run for by a catcher?
zchrz Provisional Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I will not be sad when Konerko and Dunn are gone from the socks
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Think we see Escobar at short tomorrow?
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Can someone fill me in? See the previous discussion on Eaton Semien.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Oh, gee... look who struck out again. He not only struck out, he managed to look like a fan who won the 'take a major league at bat' drawing in doing so. Brutal.
Intramural Legend Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Think we see Escobar at short tomorrow? If so, do we see Colabelo at first?
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Who's wearing Perk's uniform today?
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Who's wearing Perk's uniform today? Half of Matt Capps. / would prefer to see his better half instead
kydoty Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Always good to get that first blown save out of the way early to avoid needless chatter about a perfect season.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I wonder if Riverbrian will have any post-game thoughts to offer about Plouffe's defensive prowess?
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Well, that walk didn't help one bit. Perkins first blown save of the year, of many, I'm afraid.
twinscowboysbulls Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Geez, we have like 2 guys that would play on any team, and those two guys suck right now.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Half of Matt Capps. / would prefer to see his better half insteadNow we know why Cappsie was throwing right-handed. His left looks pretty bad. Black Sox scorer rewards routine grounder with a hit.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Two strikeouts by Perk. Practically a perfect ninth.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Extra innings. A setup for Florimon to redeem himself.
Chance Provisional Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Twins have a 6-4 lead! "So what? They'll blow it in the 9th!"
