JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I think Antony needed to do a little more chewing than just on the guys fighting for jobs.
kydoty Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 So Florimon got an RBI in the Florimoniest way possible.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 He never swung the bat once. And thus the most effective plate appearance of the inning.
kydoty Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Adam Dunn is just a lazy ****er. Had he actually ran that out instead of slowing down on the way to first, he probably would've beaten it out.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Where's the magical Anderson trip to the mound?
Gibby Provisional Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 They are the worst run down team I've ever seen...at any level.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I'm also calling a Correia quality start. Three runs in, QS still in play.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 The dog just bummed out. She figured we'd be walking soon.
kydoty Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Kubel is starting to resemble Thome on the basepaths.
Chance Provisional Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Hey that's the Plouffe we all know and love!
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Also, ArSEEya, and Florimahn. At some point, it just becomes willful. Sox crew is reading TD; they just fixed ARcia. / "Hi Mom!"
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 At least they've run up 70 pitches on Paulino through three innings.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 They just called Suzuki "Yogi". Anybody heard that nickname attached to him before? I was about to switch back to the Twins announcers, but they keep uncorking these unexpected things and I have to stay a bit longer, in stunned fascination.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 They forgot to bray Hee Gaw when Dunn struck out. / I know, I know.
Physics Guy Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Also, ArSEEya, and Florimahn. At some point, it just becomes willful. Speaking of mispronouncing names, is anybody else bothered by the way Dick pronounces Arcia? I've always thought it was like Garcia without the g. He pronounces it like ARS - e - ah instead of Are - SEE - ah.
Tibs Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Well I'd say Hicks has had a better start this year than last year.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Speaking of mispronouncing names, is anybody else bothered by the way Dick pronounces Arcia? I've always thought it was like Garcia without the g. He pronounces it like ARS - e - ah instead of Are - SEE - ah. I believe he asked Arcia how to pronounce it, and that's correct.
Since71 Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 "Vhy do you keep calling your pawns 'piranhas', and vhy do you have 15 of them on the board instead of some rooks and bishops?" Gardy hates him some rook(ies)

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Well I'd say Hicks has had a better start this year than last year. Yeah, when people were saying "Hicks will never be better than average, he only has a slim chance of being average at all", it was hard for my eyes not to roll right out of my head. Yeah, he was bad. Yeah, it was unfortunate. That doesn't mean his immense talent suddenly disappeared. /wishes people were more patient with prospects
Whammy Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Well I'd say Hicks has had a better start this year than last year. As many hits so far this year as his first 63 plate appearances last year.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Well I'd say Hicks has had a better start this year than last year. Can not say the same for Brian Dozier, unfortunately. After a blazing start in the first few games of ST, he cooled off considerably, and it has carried over to the regular season.
Chance Provisional Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Anyone got faith in a Mauer single?
