Pitch count wise he could've, but between the offense, the pitching changes and the long review he was sitting for a long time so Gardy decided not to send him back out.

I've wanted Tonkin to have that role for the last few weeks. Burton is on and off. I really thought they might trade him. And I was really against extending Perkins for fear of him losing the edge.

Weather doesn't look like it'll be much better tomorrow .... with possibility of showers. Chicago has been about 18 hours behind us on weather the last few days (as if it moving straight across) and it's been cool, gloomy and windy.

 

So pretty much cr*ppy in Chicago tomorrow and the forecast for Cleveland doesn't look great either although it is supposed to be in the low 60's there on Friday but 40's Saturday and Sunday.

These guys have a lot of professional pride. And the coaching staff can tell when effort is only 98% instead of 100. A humorous comment at the right moment from a teammate or a coach would be all that was necessary to get a good guy like Glen's attention.
