  1. Not gonna happen, but you are right, he does deserve some consideration. He'll probably finish behind all the guys on that list, simply due to sample size. We'll take a postseason victory over a ROY award!
  2. Feel like I could have written this myself.....if I were a better writer! Well said, 100% agree on all of this. Having Lopez on my fantasy baseball team as well this year allowed me to follow him closely. There aren't many pitchers in MLB like Pablo Lopez.
  3. So many of Royce's homers are just like the one he hit last night in Chicago - no-doubter bombs! Haven't seen that type of power in a Twins uniform in recent memory.
  4. The fact that he was good early in the year is because teams hadn't figured him out yet. The book on Jax is out and everyone has it. He has to adjust or say goodbye to MLB, simple as that.
  5. This is what happens against better teams and it's what will happen in the playoffs. To be honest I'm pretty sure they'll be swept, but if they do win a game it'll go just like this series: Twins will lose the opener handily, maybe win Game 2 if the other team's bats get cold in a 2-1 squeaker, then lose game 3. This is how it's gone all year, why should anyone think it'll be different in October? You think Buxton and Paddack going to help?
  6. A good time to be clicking and the team seems to be having fun and creating some positive moments. Would love to see this team steam towards the postseason like a runaway locomotive. No cupcakes in October.
  7. Absolute robbery - that was clearly a home run by Polanco.
  8. Remember when Miguel Sano hit a grand slam a few years ago to shut the door on Cleveland and essentially clinch the division for the Twins? That Royce Lewis slam kinda had that same feeling. Nice statement win. Get these next 2 and we can hit the cruise control button.
  9. When it's all said and done, Royce Lewis will be in the same breath with Carew, Puckett, Killebrew and Mauer.
  10. Strikeouts killed the rally, these guys just cannot make contact when it matters (or when it doesn't matter). This team had their best win of the season on Thursday and four days later they're back to being a frustrating, discouraging team.
  11. I believe the wheels came off last year when the Twins got swept by a mediocre Texas team at home. The recent history against the Rangers in Target Field ain't good.
  12. Baldelli managing Ober like the Twins have already won the division and just giving games away as if the division's already clinched. This is typical of Rocco - he gives up on games and always plays with tomorrow in mind rather than going for wins TODAY. Gives up wayyyy too easy. The whole team does, in fact.
  13. Just goes to show how desperate this team is for a guy who crushes lefties. Surprised they didn't call up Garlick and bat him 4th!
  14. Former Twins evening update: both Ben Rortvedt and Eddie Rosario have gone yard for the Yanks and Braves, respectively. Nice to see 'em both get a hold of one tonight.
  15. I traded for Lopez in Fantasy very early in the season, and I'm happy I did! My team still might not make the playoffs but Pablo's been a great guy to have on the squad.
  16. Thanks for sharing! I think a "town ball road trip" would be a fun summer excursion someday.
  17. Yikes. Old vet McCutcheon up with the tying run on....
  18. I know we say it every week, but how on earth does this guy still have a job? It's not just an embarrassment to the organization, it's an embarrassment to the game.
  19. Agreed. Would love to see what he's got. Same goes for Lee. Twins have a history of sitting on prospects, so we'll see.
  20. Not worried. Least of the Twins' problems.
