  1. Isn't it a nice change that all five of these pitchers are lower than 1.2 WHIP
  2. Watched most of the game on FOX (did not see the bottom of the 9th), and heard AJ say that the bullpen is a strength for the Twins.
  3. I recently read a book about Willie Mays. The author quoted a sportswriter complaining about the abundance of baseball statistics (in the early 1960's).
  4. When Kepler leads off, that is one less inning that he ends. It's OK with me if Kepler leads off the first and makes the last out of the first.
  5. I wasn't concerned until reding the quote from Mr. Bonnes.
  6. I believe bad legs was not the cause for playing only 77 games in 2018.
  7. Carrying a walkman AND a typewriter while riding a unicycle - I sure couldn't do that 41 years ago.
  8. "All those articles about what correa was going to do with our offer reminded me of when I wanted to ask out the hot girl in high school, wondering what I could promise her so she’d give me a chance. Meanwhile she was texting 3 stud athletes from the school two towns over. Never had a chance." I never had that problem in high school. There was no texting way back then.
  9. " I don't think Palacios has had a hit since the Clinton Administration." I was going to comment that it was either the administration before or after Clinton, but that would be bush.
  10. By that criteria, Killebrew also was underrated (1st base vs LHP with Rollins at 3rd; 3rd base vs RHP with Mincher at 1st)
  11. Arraez is a pleasure to watch. I would find it interesting to see the same chart with his teammates also included.
  12. Thanks for the great coverage.
  13. Luis Rivas and Bobby Kielty
  14. Top 3 WPA: Jorge Polanco .159, Jose Miranda .133, Josh Winder .108 Too bad Kirilloff hit that single or he might have made the list.
  15. "he owns a .429 xwOBACON in 2022" ooh, BACON
  16. A mass cloning of Tigers' pitcher Rodriguez would solve the slow speed-of-play issues some people dislike. On some occasions, he was delivering the next pitch seven seconds after receiving the ball from the catcher.
  17. I was very pleasantly surprised that Buxton was not injured while crashing into the fence a few days ago. I felt that one from here.
  18. "Thanks Squirrel! Game threads are where all the cool people hang out!" Nobody told me
  19. Several have mentioned that Arraez should play first base, but is there evidence that he can play it adequately. His height can be a liability and his ability to dig out bad throws is, at least to me, an unknown. But, as a DH and PH he gets a PHD.
