  1. "All those articles about what correa was going to do with our offer reminded me of when I wanted to ask out the hot girl in high school, wondering what I could promise her so she’d give me a chance. Meanwhile she was texting 3 stud athletes from the school two towns over. Never had a chance." I never had that problem in high school. There was no texting way back then.
  2. " I don't think Palacios has had a hit since the Clinton Administration." I was going to comment that it was either the administration before or after Clinton, but that would be bush.
  3. By that criteria, Killebrew also was underrated (1st base vs LHP with Rollins at 3rd; 3rd base vs RHP with Mincher at 1st)
  4. Arraez is a pleasure to watch. I would find it interesting to see the same chart with his teammates also included.
  5. Thanks for the great coverage.
  6. Luis Rivas and Bobby Kielty
  7. Top 3 WPA: Jorge Polanco .159, Jose Miranda .133, Josh Winder .108 Too bad Kirilloff hit that single or he might have made the list.
  8. "he owns a .429 xwOBACON in 2022" ooh, BACON
  9. A mass cloning of Tigers' pitcher Rodriguez would solve the slow speed-of-play issues some people dislike. On some occasions, he was delivering the next pitch seven seconds after receiving the ball from the catcher.
  10. I was very pleasantly surprised that Buxton was not injured while crashing into the fence a few days ago. I felt that one from here.
  11. "Thanks Squirrel! Game threads are where all the cool people hang out!" Nobody told me
  12. Several have mentioned that Arraez should play first base, but is there evidence that he can play it adequately. His height can be a liability and his ability to dig out bad throws is, at least to me, an unknown. But, as a DH and PH he gets a PHD.
  13. When asked if these new creatures will increase or decrease the Twins' chances, Falvine responded, "they're adders."
  14. It looks like some of these games start real early.
  15. Earlier today, after reading some comments by Hershel Walker, I revisited The Trade. By comparison, the Twins-Yankees trade was better for Minnesota.
  16. Max Kepler was asked who the Twins got for Garver and what he thought of the trade. Max said," Einer Kerfuffle."
  17. You can save $ by paying Kirilloff less.
  18. I am so pleased that BB and the Twins reached agreement, though I was worried about it occurring. He brings excitement to the game and should help the Twins both in the field and in the attendance figures.
  19. I understand that fielding percentages are not the best way to measure fielding ability, but a few weeks ago I looked at the numbers for some Twins' first basemen (suspect the numbers haven't changed materially). Killebrew .992 Reese .992 (this was disappointing to RichReese) Hrbek .994 Mientkiewicz .996 Morneau .996 Mauer .996 Sano .984
  20. "Conversely, Sano's offense would have a higher WAR value if he stood 90 ft to his right on defense." There were some games when it would have been better defensively for Sano to be 30-40 feet to the left.
  21. I thought Rortvedt caught a good game.
