  1. This is where we need an "I agree" (head nodding?) emoji. Because I do agree, but don't really "like" the fact.
  2. If anything, it just stirs the pot as to who is chasing after who moreso than $$$ amounts.

  5. I don't know; No muss, no fuss. What if he's looking at it as a "one and done" situation? Retire at 40 and never need to work again. Not that he couldn't do that with 7/225, but it's not 'hamstringing' a team either. Bet it's nice to have it done and out of the way.
  6. Well, Boras is no dummy, and I'm sure that having the Twins essentially begging to have him back at some "bottom of the market" price with a variety of year length contracts, has him thrilled, and in no hurry. If the Twins feel they want one of the other 3 FA SSs at all, they should go about their business and make offers to them. That said, unless it is an overpay, I think everyone is waiting for the Judge contract to drop and everyone falls into line after that. Will the 'non-Correa' SSs stand around and wait to see what he gets before signing? Again, unless it's a "market rate" or big overpay (like Texas did with Seager and Semien) I'm not sure. But the Twins certainly shouldn't sit on their hands waiting. If one of the other 3 bite on a reasonable deal and it's an upgrade from where you're at, make the move, and maybe give Correa a "right now, yes/no" option, before making the signing.
  7. My observations from when we first acquired Ryan haven't changed; he's a smart, battler of a pitcher without anything overpowering in his arsenal. Where I believe his effectiveness comes from is in his 'hidden ball' delivery. He uses a ton of video of himself (he's stated this) in preparation. Batters have very little time to decide to swing or not as it is, and Ryan's delivery probably shaves 10-15% of that time off, making it even harder. I think better teams make him work 'harder' and he starts to lose his form. So, I do think he has room to improve with experience, but he needs to keep his form locked in or his advantage disappears.
  8. Well, if nothing else, I'd imagine this gets Verlander the 3rd year he want from someone.

  11. "The message that the Twins organization wanted to incorporate with the new uniform designs was to include the state of Minnesota as a whole, and not just the Twin Cities." So, you accomplish that by having, for the first time ever, a "Twin Cities" version of the uniform?
  12. Really loathe the home whites and the "M" hats.

    Lets go big!!

Could you imagine the sound of 29 jaws collectively hitting the ground around the league if the Twins actually managed to pull this off? This would be like the Parise/Suter signing without the 'poison pill' of the back end of the deals. San Diego East baby!
  14. Maybe it was my age at the time, but to this day, I've always wished that Willie Banks would have figured it out.
  15. So a solid Navy Blue and a solid White jersey combo with Navy cap (unless all this promo stuff is a red herring).
  16. I was actually going to come back and edit in a car for Pagan......
  17. I don't think this is fair. You know exactly what your are getting with a Hyundai, a reliable, OK, 'everyday' car that simply starts to show it's age (in every way) in fewer years. Sonny Gray is a Hyundai. We will see, but Joe Ryan could be a Honda (I don't like the software programming of the Toyotas); Bundy and Archer are the 'salvage' titled Camaros and WRX's that have been owned by teenage drivers and look like it. Those are "Flyers".
  18. So, not seeing any gold; The neck is bare, so assuming the navy and red stripes are at the ends of the sleeves. Above it? Looks too wide to be the base of the T in the TC logo, so I'm venturing a guess it is the bottom of a state of Minnesota patch of some type.
  19. So, sort of a rule of thumb?
  20. Thought he was awesome as a "child" in Vice Versa.
  21. I was going to say Judge Judy!
  22. So, you've moved on from Lewis, and keeping Gordon?
  23. Even though they've eliminated the shift, I think you can still play a SS in the field....
