  1. I feel pretty good about my comments in the first game recap. We beat a bad team 4 in a row. Our confidence, swagger and grit should be higher. We are facing an Angels team that can be beat, and then 3 more against the punching bag. I predict a 5-1 road trip. This is how we turn the season. In 10 days we will have Correa and Duran back, and Lewis is right behind. Weather warms, bats heat up. Go Twins.
  2. I honestly don't care that they're the worst team in baseball. Winning breeds winning. Beat the snot out of them, gain condlfidence and momentum and swagger. Get out of our own heads. This is how things turn around.
  3. Vasquez had a very tough time at the plate last year. He wasn't happy about that AS A PROFESSIONAL and took it upon himself to be better. Early results haven't been there, but the underlying metrics say his PROCESS has improved. I believe he will have a nice year at the plate. At this point, right here, right now, his offensive results have been poor. At the end of the season, RESULTS matter. But when looking ahead, PROCESS matters. And everything points to Vasquez's new process as being very good. I would rather he be where he is now, than hitting .400 with terrible underlying metrics. It's a long season.
  4. Well, sugar. I was hoping he would be a part of our front office. GL Tori.
  5. Maybe not, but the odds of Max "pop-up" Kepler getting multiple hits just went up.
  6. Sucks for Bieber, sucks for Cleveland, sucks for us. I don't want to have to potentially outbid the Guardians for one of Miami's SPs.
  7. If it were me... Lewis and Jenkins are going nowhere. Period. Luzardo can pry Lee away from me, barely. I'm willing to go Lee, Gonzales, and either Festa or Ryan for Luzardo. That's a huge price, but it's a huge target. I wouldn't trade any of our current rotation. All 5 belong in our organization. This trade would be about adding to the top and enhancing our bench depth. For anything other than the absolute gem that is Luzardo, Lee is also off limits.
  8. I absolutely think our bullpen success is sustainable. We haven't even utilized 3-4 quality arms due to minor injuries. This quality depth is why our bullpen was so highly regarded going into the season. And that's before 1-2 starters could move to the pen for the playoffs. Excellent group.
  9. You don't have to convince me, although there's no way we get both. I'll "settle" for Luzardo, and even that will take a lot of farm capital. Seems likely Miami will sell off plenty. That being said, don't expect much movement prior to mid summer. Historically, teams just don't wheel and deal much the first several months at least.
  10. I don't feel desperate at all. Twins have a good staff, ok depth, and a farm system with the ability to add whatever levelmof talent is deemed necessary at the trade deadline. Not saying you're one of them Chief, but it's crazy how the clear concensus was that everyone wanted nothing to do with Scalafini pitching in our rotation, yet when we all get what we want it's such a negative?
  11. 1-4 yesterday, 1-3 so far today. What a supermassive black hole!
  12. No, I think he's had more than 6 ABs since 2019?
  13. He's a better pitcher than grillmaster. Actually for all I know he's also an excellent grill master too.
  14. I thought Margot would start, stats say he crushes Lugo.
  15. I thought radio was fine. I'm not a Gladden disliker, I thought the team was good.
  16. I think he'll be just fine as long as he remembers to breath through his eyelids.
  17. This is a great take. I would love for Kep to destroy the ball this year and earn 100+M next off-season. Everybody wins.
  18. I'm going on record here and now that Vasquez is going to have a VERY nice year. So good that if we want to trade him next off-season we will get a HAUL. Farmer will show up and be a professional, have a nice, tidy year. His leadership will be important. Very glad to have both of these guys.
  19. Joe Ryan - UNDER Pablo Lopez - OVER Byron Buxton - OVER Max Kepler - OVER Joyce Lewis - OVER Twins Wins - EASY OVER
