    Just because opening day draws more casual fans doesn"t mean the die hards can't enjoy it as well. Back in the day I went to every UMD hockey game an hour early. They sucked then, so I usually had the place to myself at first, except for the openers. Didnt lose any excitement for me sharing the experience with more people.

    You never know how things will shake out, but I am at least comfortable putting them in the bottom quarter of MLB offenses this year.

    Hope for the best, prepare for...normalization. Which is still above league average. I am prepared for our #7 hitter to be above league average. Comfortable with that, hope for more.

    2 Questions: 1. Why does everyone assume Astudillo is a lock to go north? Am I missing something here? Dont get me wrong, I really like him. I just dont understand his "lock" status. 2. Is there any truth to the rumor you screamed and dove under a table when a foul ball came your way in the press box?

    I predict Astudillo will not make the opening day roster. Most likely Duda or Austin.

    My vote goes to McPhail. The two World Series tip the scales in his favor. But Ryan is a darn close second. He really is the historical face of the Twins FO. And if we now remember him as outdated, remember that for most of his tenure he was not so. The old "Twins Way" just eventually ran its course.

    Expand. If the current climate is indicating a lack of competition for free agents, add two teams in strong markets. Demand will go up real quick when there are 50 less MLB players to choose from, and 100s fewer minor leaguers. Also, expand the rosters. Two more players apiece in a 27 man roster would add 60 more MLB players. Demand again goes up. Teams can afford to be choosy because theres an overabundance of choices right now.

    All sales final. Its a big world, chances are another guy named Moore will play for us at some point. Probably several. In this context you actually got a steal.

    I sure wish the Twins thought highly enough of Astudilli to take him north. Gonzales and Astudillo are so versatile between them, a 3 man bench is almost palatable.

    His results in AA don't look very fringy to me. Low 90s fastball. + Curve ball. Developing slide that is "unhittable" at times. I don't read this as fringe at all. Of course, there are many reasons I am not employed as a professional MLB scout

    Wow, I don't understand this. I know "on paper" doesn't tell the whole story, but on paper Littell looks like a potential monster. If three pitch mix is as advertised, floor seems to be 4\5 starter, cieling much higher. If this goes down we've essentially brokered the prospect for prospect swap the never happens, just with a middle step. Ynoa + cash for Littell. Lots to love if/when this goes through.
