Should the Twins Try to Pull Off an Early Trade?
HoskenPowell replied to Lou Hennessy's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
On a different note how has the batting coach kept his job?? How many games can the Twins get 12-15 strikeouts and only 2/3 walks?? How many horrible non professional at bats per game can we be forced to watch?? They have 10-12 ab's per game that are horribly unprofessional. Polonco and Jeffers/AK and Farmer seem to do ok. But way to many horrible at bats per game.. Either the hitting coach needs to fired , or if he's just a extension of the brain trusts thoughts then they should be gone. -
Should the Twins Try to Pull Off an Early Trade?
HoskenPowell replied to Lou Hennessy's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Only if a drunk at happy hour makes the trades and not the brain trust we have now. Cruz trade was fantastic. Araez for Lopez pretty good-fair to both sides.. But almost every other one has been horrible. I'm sure I'm missing one here so don't jump down my throat. But the brain trust have generally screwed up for the most part. Mahle and Paddock were horribly wrong. Both pitchers damaged goods and we knew it. Kid from Pirates has gone south extremely fast. Maeda ok. One good year but then the rails came off. Brusder would look awful good in our pen. So would Taylor yet. It's tough. NOT trading Kepler last winter has also hurt so non trades are a problem too. Be lucky to get a A ball lottery ticket now , but I'd still trade him to open doors for Wallner. -
NO position player will even get a thought of being a all star. Not even close at all. Gray and Ryan should go and that's it.

Twins Left-Handed "Depth" is Testing the Limits
HoskenPowell replied to Cody Pirkl's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Kepler needed to go last winter. They should have took anything for him. He's been putrid since his juice ball year. No other way to say it. Gold glove OF Gallo playing 1B is not ideal , but that's your brain trust for ya....Take a proven stud in the corner Of positions and make him play very , very average 1B Don't get me started on Buxton not playing the OF at all. That really binds up the best lineup they could play. Baldelli getting a extension is flat out ridiculous. A game lead in the worst division in all of MLB is nothing to brag about. This team should be up by 6/7 with a competent manager. But he's just a puppet for the front office. God almighty , his handling of Pagan alone could make a 3 game swing. LH Taylor Rodgers would look good out of that pen right???- 76 replies

Batting coach should be shown the door. Last few weeks have been ridiculous....seems like 1/3 of the ab's end in strikeouts. The fact that Baldelli got a extension thru 2025 is perhaps the biggest joke. Barely playing .5oo ball in the worst division in all of baseball is nothing and I flippin mean NOTHING to be proud of. Rocco's head should be on a platter.

The brain trust simply will NOT admit the horrific fail the Padres trade was.

Twins have the lowest team batting average in MLB
HoskenPowell replied to sun's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
Well your mega million star has done ZERO. Miranda has been horrible on the field and the batters box. And Buxton has been sub par at the 1/2 of the game he does play. -
Early Season Review: Will the Twins Be Contenders?
HoskenPowell commented on Hunter McCall's article in Twins
I see Araez has been in the dugout last couple games for the Marlins.......Barely a month into the season and he's already coming up lame from having him at 2B. HEll of a hitter average wise. But his knees are gonna keep him at DH and 1B way more than a powerless hitter like him traditionally is. Knee must be killing him if the couldn't even put him in DH. One of the few hitters they have they surely would play him if at all possible.- 31 comments

The Twins Need a Middle Reliever
HoskenPowell replied to Cody Pirkl's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Take Pagan on a road trip to North Dakota and leave him in the middle of no where. Guys only on the roster because management wont admit they totally blew it on that trade. Some town out there must need a terrible long reliever option on their townball team.- 27 replies

Reinforcements Are Coming, Who Loses Out?
HoskenPowell replied to Cody Pirkl's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Castro goes back down , AK can be brought back very , very slowly in the minors and Garlick goes back down. That takes care of 2 spots and with the never ending injuries I don't think they will have to worry about 3 at a time. If it honestly does then Julien goes back down.- 65 replies

Twins Lose Danny Coulombe to the Orioles
HoskenPowell replied to Seth Stohs's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
The front office has hitched it's wagon to Pagan. If he fail's this year it's time to replace the front office. As horrendous as the Pagan trade turned out , this doubles down the buffoonery in trusting Pagan........their jobs had BETTER be on the line now with this dumb decision. -

Forgotten Twins Greats: Dave Goltz
HoskenPowell replied to Matt Braun's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
I was too young to remember his great years. I remember getting his bb card often in 1977. I swear to god he was in about every 4th pack I would buy. Having a 50/50 record on those Twins teams was actually really good , they were not much of a winning teams those years. Had he been pitching for say the Yankees or Reds he would have probably won 75% of his starts. -

Wife and I have done the Royals road trip a couple times and I have lived in KC in my younger years going to many games there. It's a nice stadium and the fans there are great. I live in southern MN and it's only a 6 hour drive for us. Royals fans are by far more friendly than let's say the Brewers fans. We have done the Brewer's road trip as well and will never go there again. Our experience was being harassed by drunken fans 10 ft from ushers who looked the other way. Some pretty tough acting fans when 5/6 of them try and corner me with my 4ft 11 " wife.....ours was a 2 game experience and it happened both games exiting the stadium. Miller Park by the way sucks , especially for what was a newer stadium at the time. And i was amazed at the sausage they sold there...I thought WI would nail it , but it was average at best. I've been to at least 25 games at Royals stadium and NEVER have a single issue. Target Field 1 Wrigley 2 Kauffman 3 Petco 4 Texas stadium 5 Ranger ballpark in Arlington I believe they called it. Metrodome 6 Met stadium 7 Miller Park 8 County Stadium 9 Parks I've been to in person and ranked. And yes I know Wrigley really does suck as a actual facility , but the legend still lives. And if I could rank MIller lower I would but only another Brewers stadium could be worse.

The Twins Need to be Realistic With Max Kepler

Found out there's not much market for a slick fielding horrible hitter. Only one team was bright enough to give $10 million to a player like that.- 69 replies
