  1. Turned this one off when 33 million dollar boy stood in the box watching his liner to left stay in the yard. Then Solano takes the center fielder falling backwards and 33 million dollar boy still standing on 2nd. A real manager would have said I've seen enough and put him on the bench. I did see that 33 million dollar boy also had 25% of the strike outs.
  2. Everyone wants Wallner and Larnach back up with the Twins. Why would you want that? This team is full of strike out artists, who only want to hit homeruns. Bringing them up will only add to the same at bats we all see. Worst thing happened when they hit 307. Now their goal is to hit 308,but instead they will be lucky to keep the strike outs under 2000. Need to change the teams identity and we know that isn't going to happen. The FO seems to be able to only fix one thing at a time,so maybe next year.
  3. We talk all we want about this or that, but the truth is this team is interested in one thing. They all want to be the next one up to wear the dumb vest. Its all about the homerun, not baseball. I turned it off when Taylor got the base hit stole second and Polanco look bad and Lewis even worse. Meanwhile Taylor ended up still on second. Everyone of the coaches and manager needs their walking papers. The game is baseball not homerun. Everyone seems all excited about Castro hitting a solo shoot when their down by 2. You win by scoring one more run than the other team. Good luck in Tampa and Toronto Boys you are going to need it.
  4. The bottom of the 6th,not scoring at least one run in that situation gave Cleveland hope and they took it. No matter who is pitching you can't hang a curveball over the plate. If you payed any attention to Brennen's at bats he has been on Twins pitches the whole series. Can't see why they insist on using Lopez until he sees someone to get out of his head. One bad call or play he hangs a pitch or hits the batter. Put him on the IL for 10 days please. We now need to win Sunday to make a statement. But with this manager it will be very difficult.
  5. Varland showed everyone how to challenge hitters last night. If you throw strikes the hitters have to swing the bat. With the game in hand why not take him out after 7 and save him for later. Maybe that is why Ryan had a bad outing,he has been over 100 pitches his last 2 starts. As I stated before Castro needs to be in the lineup until farther notice. He plays baseball, something most on this team don't. How much longer do we have to watch Joey Strike Out in the lineup. Put him on the bench and the strike out total goes down by 3 or 4. Lopez needs to go see a Sports Physician to get his head right. If a umpire doesn't give him a call he loses it and grooves the next pitch. This Series with Cleveland is going to be a very important one for the Twins. They need to go 3-1 to show they are better than most of us think.
  6. I turned this game off after the 3rd inning do to the same thing different day. Can't watch the strike out artists swing for the fences anymore. As far as Correa goes, some people get paid and they think life is good. As for Ryan he ended up on the mound on the wrong day. He had been getting huge leads,so didn't have to pitch under pressure. Why was Castro on the bench when he is the only player playing baseball. We will now get to see this team fall under 500 and out of 1st. Maybe the Polhad's need to step in before the seats start to go empty. Not going anywhere win a game lose a game.
  7. Gallo goes 0-4 with a walk Saturday with 4 strike outs. Gets rewarded to play 1st again on Sunday. A real manager would say that you need to sit today. But we don't have a real manager. He wouldn't know situational baseball if it jumped up and bite him. There is no hit and run plays,no hit behind the runner. But of course let's swing for the fences every at bat. Berrios walks 5 batters and can't score even 1 run, this is laughable but not as bad as Friday. Of course we all saw that,9 walks and 1 run. Bringing Lewis up and Kepler back will not change anything as long as this manager and coaching staff are there. One other thing Correa needs to stop talking and start doing what he's being paid to do.
  8. Everyone talks about the about the 9 walks that mean nothing if they can't hit. Again bases loaded and standing there taking pitches down the middle, and going back to the dugout is ridiculous. At least fire the hitting coach now. The starters need to go to the FO and speak their minds. I would like to know how many games with 9 walks for 1 team only could score 1 run. I think that they far and few between. The problem with bases loaded for this team is looking for the pitch to hit into the seats that never comes. Can't even hit a sacrifice fly, that is on coaching. Look for a long season of bad baseball,if no changes are made. The schedule only gets tougher from here.
  9. Had to turn this one off last night, manager out managed again. Team only wants to play homerun. Its all about look at me look at me. I get to wear a dumb vest. Where was the coaching when Ober had the bad start. Let's wait until the damage is done. Then we get to see hitter after hitter swinging for the fences,so we can score 1 run at a time. Rocco said he is fine with his team swinging for fences. I have a miner league team here that may be worth seeing. A team that strikes out 12 to 16 times a game is not worth my time.
  10. The last time I looked you have to protect the plate with 2 strikes. With bases loaded again Jeffers stood there with the bat on his shoulder. That is this team in a nut shell. Swing at pitches in the dirt like the first pitch he saw or watch a close pitch go by. Even if which is a big if they make the playoffs they will loss in the first round like always. The game is called baseball not homerun, they play homerun.
  11. I said weeks ago Jax to St. Paul. He could of shared a Uber with Miranda. He is a 2 pitch pitcher, who throws a slider 80 to 90% of the time. Send him to St. Paul to work on a 3rd pitch. The other 29 teams know this and wait for him to hang one over the plate, which he will do. This manager has wasted so many quality starts by the starters. Maybe all 5 need to meet with him for face to face. Very hard to watch games being given away like this. Worst thing is he doesn't take any responsibility for it. Him and the Hitting coach need to hit the road,12 strike outs on pitches in the dirt or maybe hitting them in the back foot.
  12. This loss is on Rocco, putting Pagan in that situation has been a problem since he came to the team. Outman saw like everyone that he had nothing but his fastball. Jumped on it,very first pitch. De Leon didn't deserve this loss. Bases loaded with no outs and wasted at bats. Pitcher didn't throw but 1 strike in a dozen pitches. Now going to play the Angels with a banged up team. Maybe time to send Correa to a eye doctor. Tired of watching him swing at pitches a foot off the plate. Must be asking Sano hitting advice.
  13. This one was lost in the first inning. Watching Lopez not able to get off the field. Smith going deep on the first pitch,Muncy having a 10 pitch at bat before going deep. Look for more of the same tonight because the Dodgers don't chase bad pitches like the Twins.
  14. Sometime you need a wake up call,as the team got. Sending Miranda to St Paul was needed weeks ago and finally happened. His all around play was showing up every day. Farmer playing 3rd has stabilized the position until Lewis is ready. His at bats have been far better than Miranda's. This week on the West Coast will tell everyone if they are going to compete. The pitching has been good, the offense has been a problem. The other 29 teams know throw pitches above the zone and let the hitters get themselves out. Hopefully they take some of the at bats they had this weekend with them.
  15. It is time for Jax to St. Paul to learn a change up. Throwing 80% sliders is not working. The Gallo at bats have become way too hard to watch. He makes Sano at bats look good. Need to do what Baltimore did with Chris Davis release him. I'm tired of watching hitter after hitter swing out of their shoes. Watching the Cubs hitters go the other way is called baseball. They put the bat on the ball and won the game. All 29 other teams know throw the ball up out of the zone and the Twins will get them self out. The West Coast swing is not looking good for this team. May be 5 games under 500 on return home.
  16. I would like to know what you people are watching. Buxton is getting his at bats and in almost every game. The last time I looked Taylor leads the team in steals and plays above average center field. You are not a 5 tool player sitting on the Il. One of those tools is speed, why is he not leading the team in steals. The reason is simple like the whole team its all about the homerun. His at bats are swing for the fences. This team is full of strike out artists. The manager said he is fine with that. If and when they start playing baseball not homerun they could run away with the central.
  17. When is Rocco going to step up and do his job. When Correa turning a triple into a double he needed to be benched. Later in the game he ran faster to first on a walk. It was nice to see Kirilloff get the game winner in the 11th,but Correa would of scored from 3rd easily on Kirilloff's single earlier. The White Sox manager pulled Roberts Jr for not running. Correa could of admired the hit rounding second. And the Gallo situation is becoming hard to watch. He struck out 3 times and a weak ground ball to short. Lopez pitched to win,not get a no decision.
  18. This team looks more like a beer league team than a MLB team. Why do we have to see Correa and Gallo run out on the field day after day. I remember a time when if you hit under the Mendoza line you didn't see the field. This team is wasting good pitching game after game. If Rocco can't see it step down please. I did see they finally sent Miranda down, something that needed to happen weeks ago. If they don't turn it around tonight look for under 500 this weekend.
  19. When you're manager tells the team he is happy with them scoring by the homerun, this is what you get. They strike out more than any other team and swing at more pitches out of the zone. Miranda needs to go down to St. Paul, because his poor plate discipline is now showing up on the field. Joey pop up has to sit, because he only has 2 out comes strike out or pop up. We finally are getting pitching after years of 1 pitcher worth starting. We need changes before Tuesday or I see a 500 club by the weekend.
  20. Last night was a eye opener for this team as a whole. Bases loaded with no out and 50 million in payroll coming up to bat. They hit two infield ground balls on the first pitch they see. Larnach is not the problem. Up and down this lineup is a joke, they all want to wear a dumb vest. All we needed was a fly ball to score a run. You win by scoring one more run than the other team, not hitting one more homerun. Maybe it is time for a change at hitting coach and maybe time to send a Miranda to St. Paul. This might be the shake up the team needs. The way things look they might be under 500 before returning home.
  21. Why talk about Ryan being pulled,Nolan Ryan could of been pitching. The team had the worst at bats they have had all year. We should of had 8-10 walks, but no swinging at pitches at eye level. The game was half over before they got a seeing eye single. To me it looked like they all wanted to wear the dumb vest.
  22. The Donaldson signing was the biggest mistake by the FO. The trade had to happen for them to save face. He never fit the team,on the field or in the clubhouse. A lot of players have egos, but keep them in check. We won the trade by him no longer being on the team.
  23. This is becoming hard to watch. Starting pitching has done its job. What I see is a lineup of strike out artists. Just look at last night 16 strike outs is not going to get you many wins. Michael A and Salono are the only bats in the lineup. Maybe the hitting coach needs to answer some questions. Bringing back Gallo isn't going to change anything, only add to the strike outs. Kirilloff hasn't shown he can stay on the field, which is sad,but may be time to move on.
  24. I can't see Sands over Ober. He is a thrower not a pitcher. He has zero control of his pitches, walks himself into trouble. With any luck Ober will be back by game 10 and Sands will be back to St Paul. We need pitchers who throw strikes, not free passes.
