Twins 6, Guardians 3: Matt Wallner Conquers Apple TV+
David Maro replied to Matt Braun's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
For some reason Varland and Vasquez were in love with the Knuckle curve. That pitch needed to be put on the shelf. The Cleveland hitters were all over that pitch. It is also time for Lewis to put in extra time working on throws to first. You can't give the other team extra outs. When that happens the pitcher ends up throwing more pitches and now has men on base.- 93 replies

Ober has put himself in the running for the Cy.When he is pitching now he does with attitude. At this point he is the ace of the team.Maybe Lopez looks at Ober as competition and will get back on track.

On the day Lopez is starting he was more worried about having the rookies go get coffee for the team. Its time for him to worry about pitching not being the event coordinator. Then Rocco gives the game away by putting Dobnak in so the Cubs can add on and put the game out of reach.

Hopefully Festa watched how not to pitch. When you walk 15 hitters,6 by your team and 9 by their team its bad. Sorry but Dobnak is a St Paul Saint only. You can't go 3-2 to every hitter without getting into trouble. It does look like Topa will be ready for Cleveland,so Dobnak will be back to the Saints.

Nice story about Dobnak, but if he wants to stay up he can't go 3-2 on every hitter. He looks more like a thrower than a pitcher.Him and Varland seem to think they are throwing a hot potato. Lopez did get bailed out by Larnach in the 1st inning. The game could of looked a lot different if not caught. As far as him being the ace,he has a ways to go to pass Ober at this time.

Mets 15, Twins 2: That's Why They Call It Flushing
David Maro replied to Nate Palmer's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
You don't win any games walking 7 hitters.Umpire had two different zones that didn't help SWR.The lineup didn't help by swinging at pitches way out of the zone. This will be a long series if they don't stop helping the pitcher. -
Margot never fit the team,he was brought in by Baldelli who knew him in Tampa. If you do the same thing over and over again hoping for a different result that is the definition of insanity. We now hear that Correa is involved in who to trade for.We all remember his idea of trade for his friend Lopez. It is time to move on from Margot just like they did with Lopez.

Twins Greatest Trade Acquisitions Are Their Own
David Maro replied to Ted Schwerzler 's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Why do people think Lewis,Paddock and or Topa are key.Lewis has shown only one thing he will be on the IL.Paddock can't stay on the mound,so who thinks he can come out of the BP.And Topa who even knows what he looks like.He has pitched in months. The team has hope Correa can make it back soon because Castro can't hold down SS.Watching him play there, you think he is Polanco with his side arm throws. We also need Miranda back for Right hand bat and ability to play 1st and 3rd base.- 43 replies

SWR pitched his best game yet.It is to bad the offense let him down. Why Jeffers swung on 3-1 count with bases loaded is beyond me.Soto couldn't find the zone and needed to make 2 good pitches. With Wednesdays game now being a BP game it looks more like another loss.

Don't look now but the Royals just tied the Twins for 2nd in the division. The manager is weak and the players can't stay healthy. Its time to look elsewhere because this team is headed south.

Sorry Lewis but Lee is the 3rd baseman of the future.Unless Lee goes on the IL why would you move him.He is making every play with good throws to 1st,something both Lewis and Miranda seem to fight. As has been said many times before Buxton is far more dangerous on the bases versus trying to hit homeruns every at bat. Hopefully today was just a off day with the bats.I don't think they can win in San Francisco with only 5-6 hits in the game.

I want to know who spoke to Buxton about contact hitting being better than swinging for the fences every at bat.He has become more dangerous on the bases and looks like he is having more fun. The other thing is Lee looks like the team's 3rd baseman,so Lewis if ever healthy may need to move to DH and some LF.If you watch Lee he looks at home at 3rd and makes really good throws to first, something Lewis has trouble with.

It is time for everyone to realize Lopez is not a #1.He also needs to start working on pitching. He has spent time on Wheel of Fortune and Homerun vests and Hats as well as Pablo Day.Game after game he has a blow up inning as happened again tonight. Miranda kept the Twins in the game tonight with hit after hit.Lee followed with good at bats.Poor manager choices kept putting the game out of reach.

Lewis needs to change his work out routine. He looks like he quit jacked and has probably shortened muscles in his body. Now he is lost until after the ASG and maybe longer. If that is the case it's time to get Lee up.

This FO gets an F when it comes to trading for pitchers.More often then not the pitcher they get ends up on the IL with shoulder or arm issues. We now also have Topa who is on the IL all season with a bad knee.

Garver was the catcher not the DH.This is why Rocco should think twice about having Jeffers DH.As for miscus in the infield, this is what happens when you change 3 of 4 infield players. One other thing,3rd base is becoming a problem because of throws to first. Both Miranda and Lewis seem to struggle to make good throws and Santana has to work to make plays more often then not.

Hopefully Margot apologized to Festa about his lazy play in right.Yes the score was lopsided at the the time, but that was a can of corn.It cost Festa ERA and pitches. As a team mate you have to help a young pitcher when you can.

It's like real estate,it's all about location and Paddock can't find it.There are pitchers throwing all across the league in the low 90s.They did say last night that Varland seemed to be taking a little more time between pitches. That is and has been his problem, rushing pitches.

It is time to be concerned about Lopez,he looks like he is fighting every pitch thrown. He has not looked good for weeks, yes he had a good outing against the Astros. But you can't say he looked good in this or that outing. And the BP made this game way closer than it should of been. They now have the A's for 4 that will not be easy.

Signing Santana and playing him over Kirilloff day after day has effected his play.In the off season he thought 1st base was his to play. The situation with Julien was once Polanco was traded 2nd base was his and working on his defense hurt his offense.

There's getting hit by the pitch and then there's getting hit by the pitch. When a hitter is hit in the butt or the back it is not the same as arm or leg.So in my mind if a pitcher hits a hitter on the back or the butt 3 times he is gone.
