This loss is on Rocco, putting Pagan in that situation has been a problem since he came to the team. Outman saw like everyone that he had nothing but his fastball. Jumped on it,very first pitch. De Leon didn't deserve this loss. Bases loaded with no outs and wasted at bats. Pitcher didn't throw but 1 strike in a dozen pitches. Now going to play the Angels with a banged up team. Maybe time to send Correa to a eye doctor. Tired of watching him swing at pitches a foot off the plate. Must be asking Sano hitting advice.

This one was lost in the first inning. Watching Lopez not able to get off the field. Smith going deep on the first pitch,Muncy having a 10 pitch at bat before going deep. Look for more of the same tonight because the Dodgers don't chase bad pitches like the Twins.

The Twins Lineup Presents a Silver Lining
David Maro replied to Ted Schwerzler 's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Sometime you need a wake up call,as the team got. Sending Miranda to St Paul was needed weeks ago and finally happened. His all around play was showing up every day. Farmer playing 3rd has stabilized the position until Lewis is ready. His at bats have been far better than Miranda's. This week on the West Coast will tell everyone if they are going to compete. The pitching has been good, the offense has been a problem. The other 29 teams know throw pitches above the zone and let the hitters get themselves out. Hopefully they take some of the at bats they had this weekend with them.- 22 replies

It is time for Jax to St. Paul to learn a change up. Throwing 80% sliders is not working. The Gallo at bats have become way too hard to watch. He makes Sano at bats look good. Need to do what Baltimore did with Chris Davis release him. I'm tired of watching hitter after hitter swing out of their shoes. Watching the Cubs hitters go the other way is called baseball. They put the bat on the ball and won the game. All 29 other teams know throw the ball up out of the zone and the Twins will get them self out. The West Coast swing is not looking good for this team. May be 5 games under 500 on return home.

Byron Buxton Making One Dimensional Work
David Maro replied to Ted Schwerzler 's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
I would like to know what you people are watching. Buxton is getting his at bats and in almost every game. The last time I looked Taylor leads the team in steals and plays above average center field. You are not a 5 tool player sitting on the Il. One of those tools is speed, why is he not leading the team in steals. The reason is simple like the whole team its all about the homerun. His at bats are swing for the fences. This team is full of strike out artists. The manager said he is fine with that. If and when they start playing baseball not homerun they could run away with the central. -
When is Rocco going to step up and do his job. When Correa turning a triple into a double he needed to be benched. Later in the game he ran faster to first on a walk. It was nice to see Kirilloff get the game winner in the 11th,but Correa would of scored from 3rd easily on Kirilloff's single earlier. The White Sox manager pulled Roberts Jr for not running. Correa could of admired the hit rounding second. And the Gallo situation is becoming hard to watch. He struck out 3 times and a weak ground ball to short. Lopez pitched to win,not get a no decision.

Padres 6, Twins 1: The Hits Just Keep Not Coming
David Maro replied to Steven Trefz's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
This team looks more like a beer league team than a MLB team. Why do we have to see Correa and Gallo run out on the field day after day. I remember a time when if you hit under the Mendoza line you didn't see the field. This team is wasting good pitching game after game. If Rocco can't see it step down please. I did see they finally sent Miranda down, something that needed to happen weeks ago. If they don't turn it around tonight look for under 500 this weekend.- 58 replies

When you're manager tells the team he is happy with them scoring by the homerun, this is what you get. They strike out more than any other team and swing at more pitches out of the zone. Miranda needs to go down to St. Paul, because his poor plate discipline is now showing up on the field. Joey pop up has to sit, because he only has 2 out comes strike out or pop up. We finally are getting pitching after years of 1 pitcher worth starting. We need changes before Tuesday or I see a 500 club by the weekend.

Last night was a eye opener for this team as a whole. Bases loaded with no out and 50 million in payroll coming up to bat. They hit two infield ground balls on the first pitch they see. Larnach is not the problem. Up and down this lineup is a joke, they all want to wear a dumb vest. All we needed was a fly ball to score a run. You win by scoring one more run than the other team, not hitting one more homerun. Maybe it is time for a change at hitting coach and maybe time to send a Miranda to St. Paul. This might be the shake up the team needs. The way things look they might be under 500 before returning home.

White Sox 3, Twins 2: Walked-Off in Chi-Town
David Maro replied to Steven Trefz's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Why talk about Ryan being pulled,Nolan Ryan could of been pitching. The team had the worst at bats they have had all year. We should of had 8-10 walks, but no swinging at pitches at eye level. The game was half over before they got a seeing eye single. To me it looked like they all wanted to wear the dumb vest.- 45 replies

Reviewing the Josh Donaldson Trade
David Maro replied to Cody Christie's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
The Donaldson signing was the biggest mistake by the FO. The trade had to happen for them to save face. He never fit the team,on the field or in the clubhouse. A lot of players have egos, but keep them in check. We won the trade by him no longer being on the team.- 44 replies

Reinforcements Are Coming, Who Loses Out?
David Maro replied to Cody Pirkl's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
This is becoming hard to watch. Starting pitching has done its job. What I see is a lineup of strike out artists. Just look at last night 16 strike outs is not going to get you many wins. Michael A and Salono are the only bats in the lineup. Maybe the hitting coach needs to answer some questions. Bringing back Gallo isn't going to change anything, only add to the strike outs. Kirilloff hasn't shown he can stay on the field, which is sad,but may be time to move on.- 65 replies

I can't see Sands over Ober. He is a thrower not a pitcher. He has zero control of his pitches, walks himself into trouble. With any luck Ober will be back by game 10 and Sands will be back to St Paul. We need pitchers who throw strikes, not free passes.

Assessing the Luis Arraez for Pablo López Trade
David Maro replied to Matthew Taylor's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Let's hope this works out for the Twins, and aren't looking at another pitcher with TJ needed. Where are the hits going to come from with this lineup. The team average without Arraez is 220-225. The team with him 240-245,which is still below average. Pitching is needed, but if the team can't hit what good is it. Tired of watching a team that looks to hit homeruns only and a manager who thinks that OK. -
No one has brought up the fact that runners will have less distance to steal. Also the pitcher is limited on throwing over to 1st base. That means catchers and pitchers will need to work together. If that is the case then Jeffers arm will come into question. Some of you say that a offensive minded catcher is not needed. If thats true then maybe they should resign Sanchez, his arm is better.

The Reclamation Starters for Twins Need to End
David Maro replied to Ted Schwerzler 's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
I was only stating what a Hall of Fame pitcher saw from a young pitcher in the organization that should be working with him to make a change now not later. If his release will not work he will be stuck in the miners like so many others. Pitching is a repeat the same thing again and again. If you have deficulty with using the same motion and release you are lost.- 37 replies

The Reclamation Starters for Twins Need to End
David Maro replied to Ted Schwerzler 's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
The organization is not developing the youth it has to pitch in the big leagues. They spend too much time working on throwing sliders. That is the best way to end up needing TJ or other issues. I listened to John Smoltz announce a Twins game that Cole Sands pitched in and he said he will not make it. He can't repeat his release again and again. I think he would know that better than anyone on this staff. We are in for another long season in 23 no pitching no playoffs.- 37 replies

The Weirdest Move Minnesota Could Make
David Maro replied to Ted Schwerzler 's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Stuff but no control!! We all see it,but this FO seems to think they can fix pitchers like him. Move on already let him go somewhere else. We moved on from Duffey, why not Pagan. This team needs pitching, pitching and more pitching. After that catching and more catching.- 56 replies

Should The Twins Look to Upgrade From Kyle Garlick?
David Maro replied to Cody Pirkl's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Can't stay healthy, time to go. If he was in the lineup 3 days in a row he got hurt. This team doesn't have room for a one dimensional player. Still looking for a Left fielder after letting Eddie go. At last count I think over 10 or is it more. Wish full thinking that Judge is coming. People want Correa to stay,so all the money will go there. We still need pitching, pitching and more pitching. There are way to many questions in that area.- 43 replies

He didn't get the help he needed around him. This team as built only wants to hit homeruns. He should ask to be traded to a team that plays baseball not homerun. He is a great hitter who is willing to do whatever it takes to help his team. That is why he played 1st base and did a admirable job. Even the Clowns in the booth only talk about homeruns. I wish him well and hope he wins many more batting titles.

Target Field lockers are empty and homes and apartments are packed. This team checked out weeks ago. The owner and management are the only ones that didn't see it. They have tee times set at their off season homes this coming weekend. This team is a mess and not much to look forward to next year.

Carlos Correa Makes His Decision Clear
David Maro replied to Cody Christie's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
He was out the door back in August after the team started to free fall. He is good with the glove, but where is the bat. When you give someone 35m a year you should get both sides of the ball. Miranda has almost the same numbers with less at bats and way less money. If they sign him to 5-7 years this team will be stuck with a weak team around him just like the Mauer years. -
What To Do With Gio Urshela?
David Maro replied to Cody Pirkl's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
He is one of the few players on this team that has earned a place in 23. Just look what happened when the FO told good bye to Rosario. The team is still looking for a Left fielder. I have lost count after 10.- 82 replies

With Ober going 7+ innings was Rocco in the dugout? I guess the idea of Ober to the pen next year has changed.
