  1. I'm in the camp that thinks Miranda is probably better suited to be at 1st, but time will tell. I also honestly don't believe Kirilloff will be able to recover from his wrist injury, and I hope I'm wrong. Miranda's certainly no Gio when he plays 3rd, but he'll improve with more experience. I'm sure we'll have to put up with some errors, but C4 will cover for some of Miranda's inexperience.
  2. I think one of the biggest keys to this, is that the infielders HAVE to play on the infield. No more 2nd or 3rd baseman playing in short RF. I'm sure that a SS will get as close to 2nd base as he can at times, but there still has to be two infielders on either side of 2nd base, on the infield. Can't wait to see these changes, and the others, in actual game situations. Should be very interesting.
  3. Tough to answer this question right now. We've got a lot of arms/bodies, and if they're all healthy for the most part, we've maybe got something decent going on depth-wise. I think everyone probably agrees that Cleveland's starters are probably better overall. Especially Bieber and McKenzie. We'll know more about our guys once the season gets under way. If we can dodge the injury bullet, I like our chances.
  4. Just saw this a minute ago. May he R.I.P.
  5. Not overly interested in any of those guys. Maybe Moore, but that would be it.

    Sano

Not sure if this belongs in the other baseball category: According to Doogie, Sano is holding a workout for any "interested teams" next Tuesday down in Tampa. No other info about it as of now. What qualifies as a workout for him, is probably open to interpretation.
  7. Something has to happen with Kep, or one of the other OF's. We have too many left handed hitting OF's. It kind of looks like our FO believes that Kep's trade value is worth more than potential interested teams do, and are asking too much for him. Still time to make moves. Waiting until the deadline is too late. They need to do something before the season starts.
  8. I'm old and old school...I do Baseball Reference.
  9. Never particularly liked the guy as a player, and I don't think signing him was necessarily a smart move, but if he can put 40 balls over the RF overhang and drive in 90+...well, I guess I can live with that and the low .200's avg.
  10. I don't think I like the way things seem to be trending on this.
  11. Always liked him and I hope he can overcome the finger issue, but I don't know if he has a role on the team now. Maybe a trade chip?
  12. I'm a little surprised Fulmer is still out there, but I don't necessarily want him back. If he was so desirable, someone would have signed him by now. I'm guessing that our FO doesn't want him.
  13. Buxton and Taylor are your CF's. If Buck can somehow stay healthy, I don't think you'll see any other guys out there but those two. If Buck goes down again, then it'll be mix and match time.
  14. Celestino definitely needs more time in the minors. He was absolutely not ready to be in the bigs last year. He was overmatched at the plate, on the field, and mentally. He's only 23. Maybe he figures it out and makes it, maybe he doesn't, but he shouldn't be with the Twins right now.
  15. Polanco. Buck isn't a lead off hitter, and never was. If they put Gallo at the 1 spot, I'll rip up my tickets.

    Duffey

Our old friend Tyler Duffey just latched on with the Cubbies on a minor league deal.
  17. My extremely uneducated guess...Gallo, Kepler, Celestino, Wallner, and Larnach.
  18. The retro look batting helmet looks pretty good. I can do that. The uni's are ok, but I don't care for the "M" star hat.
  19. Sorry...you lost me at "master class trade".
  20. It'll never happen...that makes too much sense.
  21. If for some reason I'm not able to somehow get and watch the Twins games on tv...well, you might as well shove me in the oven right now. I couldn't deal with that. No way could I put up with listening to Dazzle on the radio for every single game.
  22. Mauer the catcher is HOF worthy. Mauer the 1st baseman isn't. Obviously, the injuries dictated that. He'll eventually get in, but not the first time.
  23. Just saw the the fish are supposedly backing off going after Gurriel, after trading for Arraez. I hope this doesn't mean that we're going to go after him. There's no reason for us to be in on Gurriel at all.
  24. I wish him the best, but I won't miss him. Not enough velo to make it work. When he was hitting his spots, he was average at best...when he wasn't, he got lit up pretty good.
