Get In. We’re Going Shopping
Karbo replied to Greggory Masterson's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
I don't see the Twins going anywhere this season. If they are going to get involved in the trade deadline maybe they should be sellers with an eye towards the future. Of course, that would depend on who to sell or if anyone will buy!- 21 replies

Could have, would have, should have. He could have just as easily caught the Twins flu and started striking out more than hitting.

Can the Twins Get Better at the Deadline?
Karbo replied to Ted Schwerzler 's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Addition by subtraction. Move or dfa Gallo and Keplar. Call up Wallner and either Miranda or Larnach, until Polo comes back.- 53 replies

What’s Happening with the Twins Outfielders That Have Left Since 2020?
Karbo commented on Theodore Tollefson's article in Twins
IMO it may show us that the Twins approach to hitting (and acquiring hitters) is flawed. When you see the other players seem to at least marginally improve, it tells me our coaches are flawed teaching the players a flawed system.- 21 comments

This team is full of hitters trying to hit a 5 tun homer every at bat. Can someone teach them what a 2 strike approach is? And I wish they could hand out fines when someone strikes out with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs. This team has become almost un-watchable! This coaching staff needs to go!

Should The Twins Make A Swap At Third Base?
Karbo replied to Cody Pirkl's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
I would also move Julian to 1st. Let Lewis play full time and have him stealing some bases. Try to unload Kepler and Gallo and make room for Larmach. This team seems to be going nowhere so might as well let the young guys get some valuable playing time and experience. -
The graphic they showed on the broadcast last night showed the major problem with the hitters, contact. In zone or out of zone they are ranked at or near the bottom of the league. They swing and miss or foul of pitches down the middle of the zone. Truly pitiful! The entire coaching staff needs to go!

Louie Varland Has a Home Run Problem
Karbo replied to Cody Schoenmann's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Gotta do something. My guess is Maeda back into rotation and Varland to St. Paul. Varland will be a good to great starter in the future, though he can gain more experience and work on refining his off speed stuff in AAA. -
Buxton needs to play in the field for 2 reasons. 1- To get the full value. He isn't hitting well enough which leads to 2- It is obvious to me that DH isn't working for him. He needs to play defense to fell better about himself rather than sitting on the bench thinking about how badly he is doing at the plate. The most injuries he's had recently have been at the plate or on the basepaths, not in the field. If he has sore knees either rest him, or DH on occasion, or IL him. Right now he is taking a roster spot that could be used by others. Kepler needs to be DFA'd or traded. It seems that what we see is who he is. Again that's dead weight on the roster. Polo needs to get healthy. When he is he is a game changer. Relianle bat and over his career has been a proven run producer and clutch hitter.

What Do You Do With a Problem Like Miranda?
Karbo replied to Ted Schwerzler 's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Is there a good reason not to give him a lot of work in the OF while down in St. Paul? Just spit-balling here, but a RH to play OF has been a weakness for a while.- 62 replies

Austin Martin’s Not-So-Clear Path to the Twins
Karbo replied to Cody Christie's topic in Twins Minor League Talk
This management team is so determined to hit HR's they seem to have forgotten that singles and doubles lead to runs also. A kid that can hit like him should be left alone unless he needs help. -
Which way should the Twins go for help?
Karbo commented on Devlin Clark's blog entry in Devlin Clark
Time to cut ties with Kepler. I've been a big supporter of his but its become obvious he is below the level of the others they have to replace him. -
I don't think any of the FO or coaches will admit being wrong. After all, they think they're the smartest kids in the class! And mosy of my group of people have agreed with you about leadership. They haven't had a true leader since Cruz left. Certainly not the coaching staff, or so it seems.

I have heard Rocco keep saying he can live with all the K's due to hitting with power. Don't you have to make contact to hit with power? IMHO, Rocco and the hitting coach either must change the hitting approach or be replaced!

Should the Twins Try to Pull Off an Early Trade?
Karbo replied to Lou Hennessy's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Larnach is one of the RBI leaders on this team though. -
I am getting tired of watching all these guys trying to be Babe Ruth and swing for the fences ALL the time and miss (or take) pitches right down the middle. We might as well have a bunch of Sano's the way these guys are swinging and missing. Need a new coach with a different philosophy about making contact once in a while.

Why Didn't the Twins Unlock Yennier Cano's Talent?
Karbo replied to Greggory Masterson's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
There should be a conversation about coaching, From the Twins down to instructional league. Can they do better at their jobs or is it time to look elsewhere. This is not a jab at any particular coach just in general. -
Varland was great, and should have been allowed to at least start the 8th IMO.

I don't believe this club can reach its full potential as long as we keep this coaching staff. Gray was cruising before he hits a rough spot, then gets pulled. Unless something was physically wrong with him, why not show an ounce of confidence in him to try to work thru it? I feel gor him that he has left so many games ahead only to have the pen blow it. Someome needs to tie Rocco down so he can't go out to play DR. Hook!

Blue Jays 3, Twins 0: Time to Do Something Else
Karbo replied to Steven Trefz's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Twins hitters swing at so many non-competitive pitches that other teams let go, at times I wonder if they are closing their eyes and swinging hard on the chance they hit it. Swinging at pitches 6-8 inches outside or balls in the dirt? Yes hitting a round ball with a round stick is hard, but these guys get paid so much money I'd think they could do better. Also, the league needs to do something about umps and the ball strike calling. As pitchers have gotten to throwing harder, the umps are missing more calls. It would be one thing if they were consistent, but they aren't.- 77 replies

What’s Wrong with Griffin Jax?
