    Trade Values are an opinion. Projection models on individuals is inaccurate, defensive measures are inaccurate. Bat for an arm is always a good trade as year to year statistics will show that good arms are tougher to find 14 and 16 different starting pitchers used the last two years shows the need for quantity. In any given year there are only about 50-60 pitchers that accumulate 2.5 fWAR. Quality is a premium.

    Trading Kepler, or Gordon is to get a lottery ticket or two or maybe a middle reliever. The only reason to move any of them is that the team has a prospect that is unquestionably ready. Well, there would be a hope by many here that hope for a trade of Pagan. That would need a sweetener

    Berrios would not negotiate an extension. Trading him was the only option. If not traded he would now be gone for nothing but a late first round pick. SWR did make an appearance last year

    2 were traded for. I was specific for a reason as signed by the Twins. Much easier to judge talent a few seasons in the minors

    There are three players on the 40 man roster that were IFA signed by the Twins. There are 3 IFA signed by the Twins as IFA on the top 30 list on MLB.com. Maybe their luck will change with these signings.

    When someone comes out with analysis of the data available to show the effect of the shift ban you can pass judgement on Kepler and Gallo There is another month for the Twins to make trades, and do the bullpen gem mining. So far they have a better catcher. Pretty much the difference will be relative health of the team and bounce backs from injury.

Middle infielders break down early. Ozzie Smith was elite until 38, Jeter 36, Lou Witaker about that same time period.. Most start declining about 32. In my opinion they were playing to the greed of Boras

    Ulnar bone shortening to relieve wrist pain is not terribly successful so Russell might be smart enough to have talked to an orthopod and come to the same conclusion as the research. The procedure seems to have been done as a nothing else worked so try this kind of deal. Optimism is required. Reuses is rarely optimistic

    Any team that trades for Kepler I would think that it would be a contending team trying to plug a hole in the outfield. He has 2 years of control left. That is not really a building block for a developing team. Larnach, Kirriloff, Arraez or even Wallner would be something a team could build around.

    Coming off the season that was a lot of players have something to prove. The order is easily obtained. Go by salary. It is incumbent upon the 7 and 8 figure players to play p. Remember when 6 figures was astronomical?

    100 % are still breathing. That is individual success. What you are calling success to get 80% is a mystery to me.
