  1. The way Tampa uses pitchers, if he was ready there would have been a call up to Tampa if he was major league ready
  2. Unless the FO needs to throw someone under the bus to save their own jobs Rocco is safe. His guarantee is up after this year although he does have 2 option yearsThe FO tends to stick with their people until it looks totally hopeless. See Matt Shoemaker. Anyone hired other to replace Baldelli will be a similar manager. There is no gain for them to switch unless the bus is barreling down on the FO. That bus is actually a Brinks truck. If it is not bringing Pohlad some cash from Target field there will be a new direction for the FO. It is just a matter of when. The FO may get a pass for this year, but next year may be crucial. If the truck is empty heads will roll
  3. Moran has not shown that he can find home plate. When he can he will be up. If he can’t find it probably sometime next year he would be DFA
  4. Regular players not named Joey Gallo that strike out more than 30% are going by the wayside. Wallner will have to adjust.
  5. Right knee, hip. Buxton is not going to hit well with no base. I don’t know if Buxton has lost flexibility or if he works too hard and these are overuse injuries. Tendinitis in the knee would normally be the patellar tendon. He could hit, but not run. The hip could be compensating for the knee. But really I don’t know because I haven’t seen either the patient or the diagnostician (the smartest person in the room who is hopefully smart enough to figure it out)
  6. Jake Cave has nothing left. He can go with him. Emilio would be a popular choice also. There must be something wrong somewhere.
  7. How quickly one forgets that MLB changed the baseball this year to deaden it.
  8. There will not be clarity until lore people weigh in. Maybe that should be give their opinion.
  9. Being a slob has no girth factor. For that matter, nor does OCD clean. Gross eating habits are not a function of girth. Sweatpants wearing is stereotyped as fat pants. Do as I say not as I do knows no weight minimum. I have dealt with people of all shapes and sizes that would fit the story
  10. I can not, see anywhere that this is a blatant shot at overweight people
  11. Bullpen games Chi Chi Gonzales Andrew Albers, Charlie Barnes Homer Bailey Kohl Stewart Chase DeJong, Turkey, and a host of others Every year there has been proof you can never start off with too many starters as there is what you have to use through injuries
  12. Should. Have read page 2. Before i commented. Here you go for your amusement. To everyone’s here surprise, the number is under 5. https://www.teamrankings.com/mlb/stat/runners-left-in-scoring-position-per-game
  13. Left on base. It seems like every time I look at a box score there is an inordinate amount of runners left on base. A better performance would cure most any ill
  14. If Bryan Medina in the low minors is rated as the number 9 prospect then he was not a throw in for the trade. If anything Pagan was as he had been mediocre for awhile. As to wether or not the system is down, after the trades a lot of the prospects are in the low minors yet the have decent FV from fangraphs which devalues them for being in the lower minors. Bleacher Report had the Twins as the seventh best system. Ratings, which are notoriously inaccurate, are subjective. Only time will tell. Look at the ups and downs of ratings with Gordon. Not a star, but a 115 WRC is a positive.
  15. Velocity drop sometime is the precursor to an arm issue.
  16. They got a back of the bullpen. It is still anyone’s guess for the front
  17. You stated that it was fine they did not touch the 40 man. I could probably name three relievers that the majority of this site wishes that they were traded. See 8/4 box score
  18. About Correa, after a rough April he has been hitting as well as he ever has for a season,. That he was considered a superstar when he got here, what were you expecting?
  19. It was a bad month when your pitcher of the month gets DFA. I wonder if Baltimore will claim him?
  20. Trade for injured pitchers. The team has enough injured pitchers
  21. Shoot a lot of the capital for Ryan or Gray to get the team a win ib the playoffs
  22. The Cubs got a 19 year old kid who is now a top 30 prospect playing in A+ ball for Baez and a below average relief pitcher. Correa could net a very good prospect and relieve the Twins of a middling ,middle reliever
  23. The bad trade threads start in about 2 weeks. If they trade for a reliever they will start 15 seconds after the first blown lead. The “we could have had that player” usually will start within minutes of the trade announcement
  24. Gioloto and Lynn have had bag years, but the last couple were good. It would appear that writers forget the bad years and expect them to return to last year’s form. The other thought would be payment by clicks
  25. People have short memories. Next up is a story about trading for Montas
