    The Twins reside in neither the AL East nor the NL West. Just like every other team that is not in those divisions, people can claim soft schedule. June is a ways off. The Yankees are a bit of a crapshoot If Judge, Stanton, or Donaldson go down with their annual injury the team is not so frightening

    At this point you probably might want Donaldson. After a sluggish 3 weeks to start the season he has been slugging at an OPS of about .800

    The question is not are they real but can they become better. The division and wild card are obtainable. The question becomes are they able to do winning in the playoffs. That all depends on the growth of Winder, Ryan and Ober. Does Gray return to health or does it nag all year? How does Duran develop as the high leverage pitcher? Are Duffey and Thielbar high leverage pitchers? Is their a fourth high leverage reliever? There are a lot of games left to go with a lot of mediocrity to play. The answer to are they real will not be known

    43 batters faced, 5 hits allowed. That is not a whole lot to go one. One lucky guess on a slider changes the numbers dramatically. Encouraging start, incomplete on the picture.

    Marlin Rays Royals Brewers and Tigers are the only teams so far that are going to. Be streamed.. I wouldn’t get hopes up to high for other teams. MLB was trying to figure out how they could do it.

    Ok, you were correct at this point about the bullpen. Someone who is always pessimistic will be tight about as often as someone who is always optimistic.

    As the average speed of pitches goes up so does the stress on the body to produce that level of speed. Tendons are not invincible.

    What you read was what you read. I read what I read. A team sets their budget, a GM should maximize how it is spent. The deal for Correa was more than probable when the trade was made.

    The definition of breakout player aliased used to be the rise of a player that was unexpected. . Yes high picks fail. That is expected. It is NoOT unexpected that theta have success. If you do not understand that difference it is what it is.

    It is more than reasonable to think Donaldson was part of the problem. Some of what I read led me to believe he is not supportive of struggling players and not exactly kind about it. It is amazing how one caustic person can have an effect on a group. I would guess winning mutes it, losing exacerbates it. We were a staff that covered 2 units. They decided to split the staffs and have separate staffs for the 2 units. One staff was to cover the more desired unit, The other staff the dumping grounds. The caustic group ended up on one unit, The B team of your not good enough ended up on the other. The management asked me to lead the B team. It was the best experience working with a group of hard working people that were generally happy people working in hell.

    What gain is there for anyone to complain publicly? A strange pandemic tear and a losing year is not the time to complain about someone. Even now, Buxton did not call anyone out.. The quote from Buxton did not imply toxicity. I have more than a few years in working with a group of people. When a person who hasn’t exactly been a ray of sunshine with their alpha personality leaves,, the atmosphere changes. It is not that the person ever brought you down in mood, but it sure nicer when they are gone
