  1. This question would seriously hinge on the organization's current assessment of Julien's progress defensively at 2B.
  2. Congrats to Dick on a great career! He has been the voice of the Twins my entire life! Will be curious to see what direction they go, and whether or not they continue to work with Morneau and/or Plouffe. Hot take - Dick Bremer could be a top 5 most recognizable member of the Twins in the time since he started. Puckett, Hrbek, Mauer above him for sure but he is up there. Dick is famously from Dumont, MN and when I played on the Amateur Baseball team in Dumont we made many attempts to get him to show up to a game, we never had any luck.
  3. My wife and I were sitting a few rows behind the one and only John Bonnes
  4. I expect us to get at least one night game - it sounds like we are getting the Michael Kay - Alex Rodriguez broadcast team. I think they will let A-Rod have a night game.
  5. After thinking about it some this morning, I think it is more likely that Gordon would be the opening day DH, Larnach to AAA, and Solano as the 4th bench spot.
  6. Someone make this make sense for me. Is Solano going to start the season at AAA? If he doesn't that probably means that Gordon is gone?
  7. Hard to argue with this list. Certainly can't take anyone off. Who would be the pitching Mt Rushmore? Radke, Santana, Viola, Morris, ect?
  8. I can see Winder in the pen but not Ober. I am confused why they were so adamant about Maeda being in the rotation. IMO I'd have Ober be the 5th starter and Maeda as a middle inning, some length, reliever.
  9. I love this team's position flexibility. They truly have a lot of guys who can go so many places. It seems like a logjam now, but after the first wave of injuries come, we will still be able to put a quality product on the field. LF - Gallo, Larnach, Lewis (July), Wallner, Kiriloff, Farmer CF - Buxton, Taylor, Gallo, Lewis (July), Farmer RF - Kepler, Gallo, Wallner, Taylor, Kiriloff, Farmer And this doesn't even include prospects coming up later! Or Celestino. Great job by this front office planning for a realistic season, not an ideal one.
  10. Agreed! I like the trade as well. I think a better way for me to state my opinion would be, I don't think the FO saw as much long term value as other teams might have.
  11. I think it is pretty clear that this front office did not value him as highly as others. Probably because of his knees and overall health. This front office really seems to value position flexibility, and Luis Arraez was eventually going to become a full time DH. And a poor one at that.
  12. I'm out on this one. Taking a slim chance at a rebound and also doesn't fit positionally very well either.
  13. 2024 Opening Day starting 3B
  14. I'd love it. But is he your everyday RF or LF once Royce Lewis comes back? And what about when Wallner is knocking on the door? A 4 man outfield of Lewis, Buxton, Adell, Wallner does sound nice. Trade value in Larnach, Kepler, and potentially Kiriloff (moving Miranda to 1B, allowing Brooks Lee to take over 3B for opening day 2024.)
  15. Lopez would be the most productive pitcher in 2023 should the Twins land him. Make this deal happen. Avisial Garcia is a RH outfield bat you could add onto this deal to fill another need.
