  1. I still think Clarke is gone by pick 5 and Teel is borderline top 10-20. I doubt the FO will pick out of the top 5 plus throw in Lowder/Dollander for conversation since they are both top of the rotation guys.
  2. I’d be just fine with Lowder or Dollander at 5. Skenes would be a dream that has almost no chance of happening. How “safe” does the front office want to draft since it’s unlikely to pick this high in the near future. A high school bat is 4-5 years away from impact vs. a college pitcher thats as close as 2 years. My view of drafting talent would first and always be the best talent that is closest to impact a need. If a future superstar is available at #5, you have to take that chance! This draft seems to have at least 30 surefire stars. Some 2 years away, some 5. Every pick has a risk but the 5th overall is only risky if they decide to do something weird.
  3. Even the link to Chris Williams goes to a Detroit Tiger by the same name…..
  4. Is it possible that a team would try to develop Clarke as a two way player?
  5. It will take 4 really dumb decisions to have him available to pick at 5.
  6. We do have Ron Acuna Jr.s little brother! Oh but he is years away. Lol.
  7. Great preview! Every game is winnable. We have a better pitching staff and at some point, we will start scoring a boat load of runs.
  8. If these two guys have to drag Buck , C4 and Polanco to a division championship then they need to get long term contracts. The 3 vets need to significantly up their game to keep up with these young stars! AK and Lewis are definitely our future studs! We also need to change Keplers role to OF util backup and get significant playing time to Wallner and/or Larnach.
  9. Like all twins fans, I’ve waited patiently for Duran to establish himself as the best in the game. Now that he has and has a large body of work to prove it, it is time to recognize that he is in fact, a unicorn. Just imagine if we are lucky enough to watch him for a whole decade of this amazing talent.
  10. Ranking of issues on the 26 man roster that need to be “addressed/changed”…. #26 Baldelli #27 Lewis
  11. There is plenty of room for Wallner, Larnach and Miranda… just get rid of the aging vets that have sucked the life out of this team since 2021….
  12. The fact that he is injured by walking out of the dugout (it will happen) leads me to believe that he will undergo offseason surgery for that collision.
  13. You might need a follow up article that has the subject, what did we ever do without Lewis and “ welcome Brookes Lee to MPLS.”
  14. DFA Pagan and we automatically win 3 more games this season. Add funderbunk or any other young pitcher to the 40 man roster so it creates another over the river card shuffle. Problem solved. 100 wins here we come.
  15. I would take a ken griffey jr all day long at 5 but I think Max Clarke will be gone by 5. I’m still on the Dollander train. He has been trying to mix in a 4th pitch and it seems to have taken his focus off of just throwing strikes and punching out hitters the way he is capable of…. At least last year. I wont be disappointed at who ever is taken at 5 as its a great problem to have. Hopefully its the last time we pick in the lottery for many years to come. Who ever they get, I hope he gets on the fast track to all star status!
  16. Dollander has been a little inconsistent but has pitched well. Just not lights out like Skenes. He still has ace written all over him. I don’t care what position player is available at 5 either. We need to draft and develop pitching.
  17. We should be drafting pitching at 5 and 34. Dollander if he is still there at 5 (Skenes will be gone) and anyone of these guys at 34. We have plenty of position players in the system to cover the turnover rate for the next 3 seasons but we are definitely lacking in topend pitching prospects!
  18. Does the lack of offense (which itself is an issue) actually have to take the blame for a guy that admitted that he lost focus of his job?
  19. If his ops stays over 1.000 for the rest of 2023… who cares how many times he wiffs. But yeah. Be selective young man.
  20. I see buck and C4 more as mentors to the core thats coming soon. Lee, Lewis, Erod and Raya. Throw in Ryan and this years #5 pick and add them to Lopez and Duran and you will have a real deep/long window for multiple playoff runs. We aren’t going to be drafting in the top ten again anytime soon.
  21. I like your take on it. Seems like the twins have a few guys in the minors that have had some strange developmental issues. Maybe some guys just don’t grow up and view baseball as a business and its their job to be the best. Many guys just can’t handle the work and stress it takes.
